This place is flat out amazing! the staff, atmosphere, and food all deserve 5 stars. I eat here Atleast 2-3 times a week since discovering it. The staff is friendly and will work with you on your order while remembering it as well. Immediately upon entering you can tell this place is delicious based on the smell. It’s also popular based on the fact I see Atleast 2 or three other take out orders along with people seated at all the tables. Very clean I don’t see a spec of dust anywhere anytime I go in. Always greeted with a smile as well from all the staff. The staff makes fresh drinks as well. That being said the food is phenomenal, you can really get anything but I prefer the chicken shawarma plate (lunch or dinner special) and often times order extra bread because I can’t get enough of it and the garlic that goes along with it. I always say I won’t order the baklava or the rice pudding but once I arrive I see it’s fresh made and I can’t help myself but order 2-4 baklava or a rice pudding. They’re amazing. Plus they are great with coffee in the morning if you have extra but don’t be surprised if you eat them all. Portion sizes are pretty big which is surprising cause everything is so good. Pro tip: put garlic and hummus inside the naan bread and then put chickens and rice inside. Add pickles as you go or before but I like to add more stuff as I go.
TLDR: I eat here a ton and get the chicken shawarma plate (lunch or dinner) with extra...
Read morePros: A nice little space with very courteous staff - especially the owner, for whom I'd really like to see this place do well. A good menu and caters well those on vegetarian diets. Fairly priced and overall good flavor.
Cons: Despite the name, I don't believe very much of the food was freshly prepared on site. It had a pre-pared look and texture and the cooking facilities there are not sufficient to have made and cooked from scratch. The flavor overall was good, but my husband is middle eastern so i've eaten much middle eastern food in my time. Fattoush - very good dressing, but the tomatoes were cut into the tiniest pieces you can imagine and the cracked pita (the best part!) was overly thick and crunchy. Hummous - too thin consistency- period. Falafel - good zingy flavor, but looked too "prepared" looking to have been done there Baked bread - chewy-- seemed like it was reheated. That was a bummer. Spinach Pie - had been warmed with a panini press (could see lines) so again...seems like prepared elsewhere and brought there. Grape Leaves - good, but I've not had them cold before. Customer should be asked if they want hot or cold.
I think people in Plymouth and Northville area really want this kind of food in their neighborhood. I don't think this place would do well in a largely middle eastern population, but hopefully will do well here. In the end, if I have a hankering for middle eastern food, I...
Read moreDefinitely THE place for the tastiest mediterranean food. However, the one time I went there I ordered a large order for pickup (for 4 people), the order should have been completed in 40 mins, but we ended up waiting for 1.5 hours. After we had waited for 40 min and arrived at the place, I asked the cashier when our food would be ready, since I was with my roommate and she had not eaten all day and was about to pass out. They told me it would be only 10-15 min. Had I known they hadn’t even started cooking our food, I obviously would have cancelled the order and gotten food somewhere else. We ended up waiting there for a total of 90 min, and I’m sure they didn’t even start making our order until the last 10-20 min. People who arrived earlier than us were in and out in 20-30 min. I understand you need business but it’s a bit unprofessional to keep customers waiting by lying about how long it’ll take. I’m a patient person but it’s kind of unacceptable. That being said, I understand how hard food service is. Some nights are busier than others and sometimes you’re understaffed; I get it. The food was absolutely delicious and almost worth the wait, almost. Would I come here again? Definitely, it’s a great place. However, I recommend giving them twice as much time on your order so you don’t end up sitting there for an hour twiddling...
