Nassau Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Plymouth Charter Township

I LOVE this place! Their food is Really Good, and the atmosphere is relaxed. It can get pricey, but it's worth it. You know how you have a rough day, and you just want to chill and get something good to eat? This is the Perfect Place for that. My problem is because on THREE separate occasions, I tried to call an order in during their posted business hours only to find they are closed. The 1st time I asked about it, I was told that Google had the wrong hours, & I accepted that excuse. The 2nd time, I checked the website to make sure I had the right hours, but it was closed. I told myself that it was probably a slow night and they left early. The 3rd time it happened was on January 9th, 2025. I tried calling to place my order a little more than an hour before they were supposed to close, but no one answered. I decided to make the drive there anyway. When I arrived at 10:13pm the lights inside were on, the TV was on, and there were people inside. But the doors were locked. On their doors, just like on their website, it said that they closed at 11pm. Nassau Grill & Bar, Why tell customers that want to spend money at your establishment that you are one of the few places that stay open later than other restaurants in the vicinity if you really don't? If you really close at 9pm or 10pm, PLEASE CHANGE THE HOURS POSTED on your door, your info listed on Google, on your Website, and everywhere else that you are tricking people into thinking that you stay open late. If by chance you are just randomly closing early on the days I happen to stop by, why not start posting it on your Facebook Page? You could say that you're closing early that night, taking customers who might work late into consideration. At this point, I feel like management doesn't really value their customers. Recently, my team went to this restaurant for a work lunch. Upon arrival, the server initially refused to let us combine two tables, suggesting we sit in separate sections instead.

After some reluctance, we managed to combine the tables. The service we received was average, neither exceptional nor terrible. It was evident that our server was slightly overwhelmed by the number of customers and seemed rushed throughout.

When it came time to pay, our team leader, who is not accustomed to American tipping customs, left approximately a 10% tip. As we were halfway to our vehicles in the back of the parking lot, we were approached by the server who had run out with the receipt, demanding more money. She conveyed that the tip amount implied dissatisfaction with her service, without offering a genuine apology. It seemed she felt entitled to a larger tip, even abandoning her other tables to confront us.

One of my colleagues apologized on our behalf and satisfied her demands. The whole incident left us embarrassed, both for ourselves and the server. Regrettably, this experience has deterred us from considering a return to this restaurant.

It is concerning to think that the server might be facing inadequate compensation, which may have contributed to her unprofessional behavior. I hope that the management takes steps to create a better working environment and foster...

This place is delicious. I’ve been working in the area for 4 years and recently gave them a try. The food is hot fresh! The burger is my go to. I’m a House made ranch and French fries connoisseur and this place has some of the best! The only setback is they don’t have a designated area for carryout pickups. You kinda just have to walk up to the bar and flag someone down. No matter if it’s crowded or not. Which—it always is because it’s a Locals heavy kinda intimate place.
