Koko is incredible and truly an artist! He made me a completely custom engagement ring that was absolutely perfect and was wonderful to work with for the entire process. My fiancé (girlfriend at the time) and I went to KB Jewelers to look at some engagement rings and that's when we had the pleasure of meeting Koko. It was my first time looking for rings so I was a bit nervous and unsure but after talking to Koko for a minute all that went out the window and I felt at home. He was welcoming and took the time to answer any questions I had with great information and examples, his experience and knowledge were quite apparent. He showed us some work he was doing on a completely custom ring, from the CAD to the wax mold he had. I was impressed to see how hands on he is and how he creates one of a kind pieces from the ground up. While he had a great selection, we didn't see "the one" in his displays but I knew Koko was just the person to make it. I went back to him shortly after that with some pictures and an idea in my head of what she wanted. We talked for a bit about different design elements and he drew out some quick sketches to make sure we were both on the same page. Koko also remembered and had notes about what my fiancé liked about different rings and helped add those elements as well. I walked in with little more than ideas and he saw exactly what I was going for. With the idea of what the ring would be he ordered different center stones for me to choose from. I came back picked out the stone and then he went to work! Soon thereafter he sent me a CAD rendering of the ring and it blew me away! I didn’t have to change one thing and immediately I knew it was “the one”. With my approval he set to constructing it and finished it within my time line. Koko crafted a bespoke engagement ring using the material from the ring of my fiancé's grandmother.

Koko went above and beyond through the entire process, so much so that we are traveling back to Northville from out of state to have him design both of our wedding bands. He was thoughtful, insightful, and communicative, walking me through every step of the process from design to completion. This included sending CAD drawings and pictures during the casting process to full videos of melting the original ring down to make the new band which I was able to show to my fiancé and her family after the engagement - an incredibly meaningful and sentimental touch.

Given how important my fiancé's grandmother was to her, it was imperative for me to go to someone who would treat the process with reverance and care. I am so glad Koko was recommended to me and cannot recommend him enough. He first helped me pick a style through consultation and recommendations, then allowed me to tweak the rings I liked the best. Through a series of computerized images and later, a wax model, he showed me exactly how it would look, and was willing to make any adjustments I asked of him throughout.

He also helped me pick out a diamond, keeping my price range in mind. The stones he showed me were very high quality, and he helped me pick out a stone that was better than I could have hoped for.
