I have been a fan of Men’s Wearhouse for years, my store in Omaha and Panama City beach are Fantastic. The store on shelbyville rd in Louisville is terrible and a sham. staff is incredible incompetent, rude, untrained. My daughter and her fiancé ordered rentals for a wedding in February, Wedding is May 20th. On May 13th went to check on them after being promised they would be in 7 days before the wedding to make sure everything fit right. First my daughter called and was told they were not in but they would be here by Thursday before the wedding. They could not explain where they were only at the Hub. My wife, daughter and the groom went to the store after not receiving a call back with no change in the results. The person helping us who claimed to be the manager asked if we knew the name of the person who helped us, my daughter vaguely described her and the girl helping us asked “was she Loud and irritating” if so that's Lisa. Finding out now Lisa is the manager. After getting no useful info they left. I called and spoke with Lisa on Saturday and she did have some info and denied promising the rentals 7 days before and showed no concern that her staff described her as Loud and irritating, she actually took it as a compliment and said yea I love my job. Wow. Don't use this location if you want service and expect what your told to actually happen. I asked if I could have the district managers number Eric Jones and was informed company policy does not allow his number or email to be given, she did take my number and have not received a call back as of this post. Read moreI had such a terrible experience here. I bought a suit and had them alter it (with alterations, it was over $800). When it was ready and I tried it on, the suit jacket sleeves were too long so they redid them. I picked it up and now the sleeves are way too short. They redo it again. This time one sleeve is longer than the other. They redo it, now the one that was too long is now shorter than the other. That was 4 times they tried altering and messed it up, so I asked if I could just return it. The manager refused and said she couldn't do refunds on altered suits because she couldn't sell it. Then pretty snarky, she followed with I can show you where it says that on the website. I pulled up the website on my phone and showed her where it says it's up to the discretion of the manager. She still refused. I decided to take it to a different Men's Warehouse and they messed it up 2 more times! The guy just handed me a card with the customer service phone number on it and said to talk to them, it's been altered too many times and they can't do anymore. I called the number and explained what happened, they let me know it's up to the manager of the store to offer a refund and he would call them for me. Manager still refused. He apologized and said the only thing I could do is talk to the manager again myself. Obviously that wasn't going to get me anywhere, so I decided to call the 2nd store I went to. I explained the situation to the guy that answered the phone and he said he was actually the manager there and absolutely I should get a refund. He said to come on in and he'd take care of me. Read morePrior to our wedding, I had recently collaborated with this specific location for a professional development clinic at my job because we had heard just such rave reviews about them. They did not disappoint because the positive energy that was exuded, the meticulous knowledge exhibited, the first class customer service that was provided and most importantly their professionalism was outstanding! So it was definitely a no-brainer to work with them again for this memorable event.
I was probably most impressed by the staff. They all seemed to be on one wavelength. Each of them knew every detail of my wardrobe every time I either called with a question or walked in for a fitting without any explanation necessary. They even provided complimentary coffee (all Men's Wearhouses should do this by the way if they do not already; it's a nice touch).
All that being said I really enjoyed my experience working with this location. And as along as my wife and I reside in Louisville, any friend, family member, co-worker, or future son of mines that needs formal wear, will be sent to Lisa and her team. December 29, 2017 was the best day of my life and it all started because I looked and felt pretty darn great.
