I had so much fun in this store! For a little while I had been intimidated to go in just because the clothes looked cool and stylish... I had assumed that The vibes would be weird when I walked in...AND I WAS WRONG! As a plus sized girly I was surprised to see that they did carry some extended sizes in the store. I believe they only go up to a 2X but they still had some pieces that fit me. Also the staff members there were so so nice! I can't remember the names of the ladies that help me exactly but I think one lady was named Chantelle. The other one was a manager who was visiting for this week. From the get-go they were super attentive and kind, even starting a dressing room for me once they saw I had like a gazillion clothes in my hand. And they lit up even more when I told them I was shopping for my bachelorette party! They made me feel so special and honestly created an experience that I never really thought I would get as a plus size girl 😅. They made great suggestions and help me to pick out accessories and find some really cool shoes... I say all that to say, This will my new go-to place! The staff was incredibly kind and the clothes are high quality- they even gave me my dress in a dust bag!...

Rude rude BEYOND RUDE African American manager who LITERALLY snapped at me, as I was ATTEMPTING to walk in to browse this evening at approximately 7:50 (10 minutes to 8pm…when you close at 9pm). She LITERALLY held a long stick (tool with sharp metal point to CLOSE the metal gate) and pointed it at me and snapped “this entrance is closed”. I replied “really? Looks explanative open to me” How hard is it to let someone who’s halfway in the door pass you? The grate wasn’t down. She was WALKING OVER to put the grated metal door down. She glared at me and literally made me feel unwelcome. My boyfriend was upset and couldn’t believe how targeted her slight aggression towards me was- all I wanted to do was come in. You were NO WHERE NEAR closed. And to point at me with a metal stick? How RUDE can you be? I’ve wanted to check out this store FOR MONTHS and went from smiling and excited to shop- to angry wanting to go back and give that lady a piece of my mind. She doesn’t need to be in customer service. That’s the ONE THINGS YOU DONT DO to a customer. Block them from coming in the door. I will NEVER shop here. Felt targeted. Unwelcome. I hope she snaps at someone else and gets fired. You don’t...

This store is unique and creative, and Cole, a gentleman who works there, is absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked into the store with my four year old son, it was epic. (I finally was able to afford clothes for myself). Kole provided amazing customer service, truly made me feel seen, cared for, and he helped me the entire time…with finding outfits, fitting room stuff, bringing the clothes up front, putting stuff back, getting different sizes, even entertaining my child and being so sweet…aka he helped with everything! It’s so hard sometimes, shopping with a small child, but because of the awesome customer service it went flawlessly. I had single mom guilt for finally choosing to spend a bunch of money on myself, and I’m so glad I decided to go to Akira yesterday. This restored a lot of my faith in humanity. I’ve had a horrible year so this beautiful moment made me thankful for your uplifting store and the awesome customer service. I’ll always come to this store when I visit 12 oaks. 💯...
