wow since I have your attentionwhat can I say about petland .... Run in the opposite direction!!!!! do not purchase a puppy from this establishment!!!! you're seeing the good reviews because they promise you 20% off if you leave a good review đ... I purchased a puppy from this establishment November the 21st and the puppy died December 1st they tell you to take the dog to the vet within 5 days which is VCA which is affiliated with their establishment in which their connected to and they're connected to the finance company if your purchasing your puppy that way ..The puppy is going to have a parasite!!! even though they tell you they do parasite prevention is going to be sick and maybe with some other things!!! All of those puppies are sick... I believe they really are coming from puppy mills because they're going to say they come from a breeder and they may give you a name if you look those breeders up ur not going to find them And if you do deeper research or really look at the lower reviews you will see the truth that a lot of other people went through that I did not see in the beginning when I chose to buy a puppy from them... if you do some deep researching with this company you will see cases on top of cases, investigations and that they have been sued!!!!! By numerous people.. In which I do not understand why they are still open but then again they changed their name often if you look at the paper that you sign it's a completely different name than petland on that paper đ..they are a rip off!! you're thinking you're getting a good deal when it comes with all of these perks and supplies and stuff and training and warranties but really you're paying for that and in which you won't be able to get your money back if your pet dies before it's able to even use any of that stuff.... you're thinking you're going to have a new pet and everything is going to be fine when in reality it's not.... I purchased the puppy for my daughter and myself as a birthday gift and my daughter fell in love with the puppy but witnessed the puppy dying in front of her do you know how devastating this is for her and she's nine !!!! then if your puppy dies and you call the store they're going to tell you is nothing they can do and you have to call their claims line and which you can't speak to someone right then and there you have to leave a voicemail and wait for her to call you back and she's not but that's why she say you don't have to leave multiple voicemails but you really do ...and that you're going to receive a phone call within 24 hours Don't hold your breath because you're not and they're going to act as if they didn't see your missed call or your voicemail and even though you have a two-week warranty Don't believe that!!!! And if your puppy dies they're going to want you to pay for a necropsy out of your pocket in which you're going to have to go to Michigan State University to get performed and cost $335 out of your pocket Thats not going to give you a 100% accurate cause of death of the animal so be prepared for that and oh and if you want to keep the ashes of your pet that's additional $200 plus dollars keep that in mind in which you're not going to be reimburse for. They may offer you a replacement dog but why would you want another dog? After what you experienced? AND know that THE REPLACEMENT DOG IS going to be sick just like the other ones.. And if you paid attention when you're in the store majority of the times the dogs are asleep or just laying there or not really moving or shaking very few would be playing around and that's only for a short amount of time.... you want to know why that is I'll let you think about that but do your research and see how they change their names have been sued have multiple different cases against them but yet Is still open and I cannot understand that part why they're still open when it's so much against them.. now are the workers that work there helpful Yes they are kind they're helpful and they're just doing their jobs but the company as a whole...
Read moreEDIT TO THE STORES RESPONSE: Petland is a scam and should be out of business. I do not recommend them and I never will. It is incredibly clear that they only care about money and not the animals they're selling. Id also appreciate it if you didnt make it seem like I blindly purchased a dog. Especially for $3000. Nonetheless, you cant know if an animal is a good fit until getting them home. Socializing with them in a confined box isnt going to show who they really are. You guys charge absurd amounts of money and every single one of your dogs have parasites. The money you guys provide customers to get a vet exam done within the 14 days only covers the fecal exam, which is the exam that tells you that they have parasites. And nothing further. Get a grip you guys are gross and I truly cant wait to see you go out of business.
We got our puppy here about a month ago and I can't even find the words to express the nightmare that it has been. I have done just about everything trying to get this puppy returned. It is so sad that they sell these puppies for SO much money but only give you a smallest amount of time to see if the puppy is a good fit in your home before you can EXCHANGE it. We fell in love with the puppy we got at the store, we still love her of course however she is so skiddish and scared of everything due to the way petland keeps these puppies caged up. Also potty training has been an absolute nightmare due to them NEVER being exposed to the outdoors. The puppy we got is so sad all the time because she needs a quiet home with low traffic which is the exact opposite of what my house is but we didnt realize that until recently and again, they only give you the shortest window. I have a wild toddler and another on the way. She needs to be in a home with no children. They do it on purpose because they know it takes the puppies a while to open up. The only resolution I have been given is to give her up to a no kill shelter but if she is already this scared, why would I send her to a shelter? And also, we are still required to pay for her which was $3000. This store is a joke. I promise you, I know the puppies are so cute but please do not support this business. You truly dont know what you are getting yourselves into and the store does not care once the puppy has left. They have no problem allowing your puppy to be in a home they are unhappy...
Read moreIf I could give this store a -5 rating I would. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience thus far. We love our puppy. However, itâs been a rough experience since we purchased him December 24, 2023.
When we first purchased him, we took him to the vet immediately after the holiday and learned he had parasites. He wasnât eating or drinking water. We reported this to the pet store management team. We had to come out of additional vet fees due to the parasites he came with. Under the warranty agreement we were told we would be refunded for the additional vet fees. Yet, after he was treated we were asked to sign an additional waiver form before Petland would release funds.
Petland asked us to sign this document to relieve them from being held accountable.
We did not feel comfortable signing this form. They were basically asking us to lie, knowing they sold us an ill puppy. We will never shop with them again.
Update to original review:
BUYERS BEWARE: DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS STORE. They lack customer service skills, their apologies are not genuine. They get their dogs from puppy mills. If you donât know why this is bad; Puppy mill operators maximize their profits by producing large numbers of puppies as quickly as possible. As a result, unsanitary conditions, disease, and neglect are rampant.
The dog we purchased not only came with parasites but was also very challenging to train due to trauma. Weâve had dogs in the past that were never as challenging. But itâs understandable due to what he possibly experienced coming from that store and the mill before arriving to the store. If you shop here just know youâre paying for an extremely overpriced animal and will be lucky if you receive a healthy pet. I donât know how theyâre still in business. Theyâve been reported by the Michigan Humane Society and have also been on the news. They should...
