Cashier rings up my earnings at a higher price than they should be. Signage states, 60% off for the brand I'm buying. 60% off of $40 is $16, not $18.70. Cashier reminds me that $15 will be coming off due to my "free money", so really only $3.70. I said, "No... should only be $1. She then asks me what I want yo do. I want them at the CORRECT PRICE. Ohhh, I can't alter the price. Eventually, she does, and I buy my earnings with my other items. I suggest, letting management know they are overcharging, and she says it really isn't much to worry about. What?
So, I call and speak with management, Chevonne. Explain what happened and all she said, at first was, well bring them back and we'll refund you. Didn't grasp at all that every customer buying was being overcharged. I said the clerk eventually altered the price, but my point is that the system has the wrong price and is overcharging. She asked me then what would make me happy? Hmmm... charging the correct price. Looking into the system to find out why it's overcharging and correcting it. Makes me wonder how many people just pay and don't realize they are being incorrectly charged? This is simple math taught in 3rd grade. The reciplicle of 60% is 40%. 40% of $40 (.4 x 40) is $16. The manger even seemed befuddled as to what the charge would be. So, people, watch your receipt whether here or there.
UPDATE: Had a conversation with Customer Service. Apology was given and a $20 credit into my acct. Again, my complaint was done foe the pricing to be fixed. Went back about 10 days later and the earings were still ringing up at a higher price. Called and talked to Valarie who totally understood my complaint and said over rings are unacceptable. She asked me to stop in sometime when she'd be there, happened to be that day I was able to. She gave me the MI Bounty- which is cash paid to the customer when an item is being over charged- on both earnings. BUT THE BONUS is she went and scanned the display to figure out why were the earnings being rung up at a higher value. Turns out the sign should have said 55% off and not 60%. So, now, the price ringing up will reflect the sale being...
Read moreI had been growing my hair out for my 5 years, so naturally, it was ridiculously long. The reason why I refused to get my hair cut for all that time is because I'm Greek and have extremely , extremely curly hair. Which wouldn't be a problem, except, due to my curls being so unmanageable, approximately 99% of all the haircuts I've ever had in my life have been absolute abortions. I'm talking so bad, I have to wear a hat for six weeks just to cover my absolutely abominable haircut so people don't recoil in horror when they see me. That being said, The Stylists at The JC Penny Salon are so skilled, I can only describe it as supernatural. The owner's name is Holly and she's the biggest sweetheart in this world. She delegated the job to what she described as her best stylist and I'll be dammed if she wasn't truly her best. She gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had in my life. So good, I'm eternally indebted to them. If you have any doubts at all, I get it because it's your precious hair- but trust me. They'll do so well, you won't believe it when you see yourself in the mirror, that they've made you into the best version of yourself. In summation, 10/10. Will not only return for another haircut, I'll be returning for the rest of my life. Love ya Holly! Can't wait to see you again. And as for my stylist, the same goes for you. You are a master stylist. Thank you for making me look like a...
Read moreI never had an experience like this before, but I went with my husband to buy white dress shirts. I recently had spine surgery and my stamina, strength and pain tolerance is not optimal. While he was shopping I moved a stack of shirts over from a low table and sat down. Now, I admit I was 100% wrong for doing this. A salesman walks over and aggressively says get off the table you’re sitting on shirts. I proceed to tell him I’m not and I needed a moment because at this time I’m disabled. He repeats the statement again with the same tone. I lean on my cane to get up which I was in the process of doing anyway. I meant no offense to the hard working people who have to go behind customers all day cleaning up messes. I place the shirts back and he stalks off. My husband was furious at the way this man aggressively spoke to me. It obviously should’ve been handled with grace, considering I had a cane. We did not make a fuss and I placed the stack of shirts back that I moved and I told my husband, “let’s go.” This man working in the men’s department on 3/1 was clearly not happy or was just having a bad day. After I posted this review I got a response from the general manager and I and I would like to say I really appreciate the follow up and in no way do I now feel that this one person is a reflection on the entire company. I absolutely have changed my rating due to her response. Thank...
