Over the years their customer service has gone down hill tremendously. I tried to return an earring yesterday and while attempting to do so, the woman at returns said I wasn’t able to do so because it didn’t have a gold backing. Well that’s confusing because I hadn’t even taken it out of the jewelry bag and box. I was returning it because yes it was just one earring. I hadn’t read the online description so that is my fault. I tried explaining that I had never worn it and this is how it came. Their response was beyond rude and quite frankly humiliating. She called over the jewelry manager and she said the same thing, that they could not accept the return. Frustrated, I just left. I decided to call the Nordstrom in the Houston Galleria and ask some questions in regards to this earring. Surprise surprise... that earring and the many others from that specific brand do not in fact come with gold backings just a plastic one. After finding out this information I called the Nordstrom in The Woodlands back attempting to explain my findings. I was told that the jewelry manager wasn’t in today. Huh, that’s funny I literally saw her 20 minutes ago. Well she’s gone for the day. Okay? When will she back? She’s out on PTO for the next few days. Alright well I’d like to speak to another manager please. Her response “ma’am I am sorry but we denied your return and that’s our final decision”. Excuse me?! You’re telling me that I cannot return a product that your establishment sold me even though I have proof and talked to another store? Yes ma’am that is correct. I demanded to speak to another manager. After putting me on a 10+ minute hold, the same woman gets back on the line and says “you can come back and return it” and hangs up the phone before I can even say anything. RUDE RUDE RUDE and as a fellow business owner that customer service is EXTREMELY unacceptable. I will never shop at this...
Read moreOn June 16,2024 around noon I came to pick up a package that it clearly says that it was delivered here at this Nordstrom Woodlands location. I had bad experiences with Nordstrom using "LSO" shipping company. I still have no idea why they use them because they are known to steal packages so I feel more comfortable ordering online and have my packages delivered to Nordstrom. I went to pick up my package and this is the second time I get that cashier at the pick up section this African-American woman. Her name is Tyra and she's always so rude to me for no reason. She always has this attitude. It's like she's so unhappy and miserable with her self and her life she's projecting her misery out on the customers. She just dismissed me and said my package is not there, that it must be delivered to my house but it clearly says on the Nordstrom and LSO shipping tracking # that my package was delivered there at the store. She just cut me off and told me just to go check at the cosmetics department and Sofie and everyone there was so nice to me and they made me another "sample" bag and gave it to me. I always have a great experience when I come shopping to Nordstrom but I have no idea why they keep that bitter, miserable Tyra lady at the pick up customer service department. Good thing I totally understand misery loves company and she's just projecting her unhappiness on other people. ...
Read moreI am not even sure a review of Nordstrom is necessary. The 5-star review is not necessarily for this location but for Nordstrom, the company as a whole.
I'm a nordstrom card holder. But even if I wasn't I bet the experience would not be any different.
At this location, you get a hit-or-miss with the sales force. I have good experience with their folks at the children's section. Also, at the ladies' bag department. They help me price match a Tory Burch hand bag one time with no fuss.
What I would say was somewhat negative was the person manning the MAC customers counter. Not sure if he/she/it is a Nordstrom employee or a MAC employee assigned to Nordstrom. I was in my work out clothes, my hair in a tight bun. As I'm more of a shisheido/clinique person, i had no idea what MAC products would work best. So, i had a few questions, because nobody else was there, the person had to address me. Then walk in a well-heeled lady and started asking questions. All of a sudden I had to wait, until this person rang up the other lady's purchase. I'm not usually a patient person, nor stand for that type of treatment. But I must have woken up on the right side of the bed that day, cause I patiently waited and picked up 2 products. But i won't shop at the MAC counter in the future for sure.
Still can't really fault Nordstrom and it can't take away my overall experience of...
