For our anniversary, my wife and I were in search of a classy, upscale steakhouse in The Woodlands, and we decided to give Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar a try. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that we had chosen the right place to mark this special occasion. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, who inquired if we were celebrating something special. After sharing that it was our anniversary, she congratulated us and guided us to our table. The ambiance at Fleming’s set the tone for an unforgettable evening—soft lighting, a tranquil atmosphere, and a romantic vibe that made the experience even more intimate. What truly set this visit apart was the personal touch the staff added to our celebration. Not long after being seated, our hostess returned with gold confetti to sprinkle on our table and presented my wife with a stunning, freshly cut red rose. To our delight, a waiter soon followed with a personalized anniversary card, with individual, handwritten staff signatures, wishing us a Happy Anniversary. As if that wasn’t enough, another staff member arrived with two complimentary glasses of champagne, elevating the entire experience. The exceptional service continued as we savored our meal. We ordered the steak and salmon, both of which were cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and bursting with flavor, and the salmon was savory and rich. Each bite was a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs. As the evening came to a close, we were once again pleasantly surprised when we were handed a complimentary box of chocolates to take home—a thoughtful and generous gesture that left a lasting impression. In choosing Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, we had no idea we would be treated like royalty. The staff exemplified professionalism, kindness, and a genuine sense of care that made us feel truly special. The food was nothing short of remarkable, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, especially an anniversary, I HIGHLY recommend Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Their attention to detail and exceptional service made our night unforgettable, and we are incredibly grateful for the memories they helped us create. Thank you, Fleming’s, for making our anniversary dinner experience truly...
Read moreI'm so disappointed with the management at Flemings - The Woodlands. This is one of my favorite steakhouses. My family and I dined at Flemings tonight after walking around in market street doing some shopping. Everyone ordered at our table and my mother (67yo) who doesn't have a large appetite ordered off of the kids menu. After ordering and waiting roughly 30 minutes, a manager in a royal blue blazer stopped at our table and told my mother she could have the steak at the listed price but not the salad or the desert (fruit and ice cream; probably $3 worth) because she was older than 12yo. My mother said she wasn't that hungry which is why she wanted the smaller portion. The manager once again told her she could not have the sides only the main. My mother said don't worry about it and cancel the order. The manager repeated, "cancel the order?" My mother said yes cancel the order. The manager staired at my mother then walked away.My mother is a senior citizen. I was absolutely floored by the service. Rather than allowing her the $3 worth of fruit or salad or ice cream with the meal and stating "we normally dont do this but i can make an exception", Flemings lost a sale and ruined a dining experience. Not a good business practice imo. My mother SAT THERE and watched as everyone else eat because of poor management; absolutely unacceptable.
Note - a second manager saw my mother sitting there without a plate while everyone else was eating. That second manager asked if everything was okay and she said yes. I interrupted abruptly and informed the second manager what happened. The second manager said, "oh, I'm sorry I came over and poured salt on the wound. Let me go see what happened" She walked off to see what happened and I assumed she would come back which she did not. I encourage the owner to review surveillance footage of that night. We were sitting under a round table with the only chandelier in the place. December 7th at 7:15pm
What does Flemings pride themselves on, experience, food, customer service, ambiance? We paid over $700 on a dining experience and food with subpar service (management terrible / server apologetic and was nice). Unfortunately, I will never take my family back when management has such disregard for its customers. There are plenty of other great steakhouses in the area.
Do better...

I took my family to Fleming's in the Woodlands for Easter Dinner. Fleming's has become our go to place to entertain friends, business associates or simply to enjoy a quality experience with family. Unfortunately, our Easter Dinner was not a great experience.
We all ordered steak, why not at a steak house. As the drinks and appetizers showed up, I noted what I thought was an aggressive fruit fly. It was not until our main entrees arrived that I noted 3 dead fruit flies in my Manhattan, and a number of others on my son's appetizer. The servers noted what was happening at our table and called the manager who offered to move us but at that point, we were pretty turned off by the experience and boxed up the food and departed.
I understand these things happen in restaurants. The manager was accommodating. She took the drink off and discounted part of the bill. Sadly, steak doesn't reheat well. It is always good here so we'll just chalk this up to a bad experience and try again next time.
Fast forward to yesterday, yet another subpar experience at Flemings and another holiday celebration dampened by what continues to be an issue with fruit flies, years later. Wait staff acknowledge this is a major issue they hear about all the time. It's not a lack of effort as they've tried to abate them.
My larger issue is that we took mom to a nice dinner, we spent over $400 (mom is worth it) but they took all of our leftovers (Potatoes, creamed spinach, 3 different steaks) and put them into a single container. Mom looked forward to having the potatoes for breakfast the next day. Unfortunately, the spinach is mixed in with the steak and potatoes now so it's not something mom can enjoy. The other things that made little sense, is my wife ordered 3 scallops with her steak. Those came at $21. I ordered the same scallops with my steak. They asked if I wanted 3 or 5, I ordered 5. 5 Scallops added $50 to the bill. It made no sense as I could have ordered 2 orders of 3 scallops for $42. How is it 5 scallops is $50?
Now with Capitol Grille open, we're going to have future celebrations there. Sad there was a day we preferred Flemings but having to dump our left overs, coupled with feeling like we aren't enjoying the experience with the bug issues, etc, it is best to spend our...
