I have no experience with this specific pharmacy but I do have experience with people. For a person to open and operate a pharmacy in Ocean Shores, knowing the off season population, and understanding the season tourist flow they're not here because business is going to be easy. They're here to meet a need, to serve a community, and provide needs that would otherwise be met without travel to another community. So way to be Ocean Shores Pharmacy for being here and doing the balancing act you must do with inventories and staff and weather and all the challenges that come along with it. I built a stable business in a small community and frankly for the first few years sacrificed margins, wages, and personal times until it was established to where I could purchase in enough volume to better support my community with computers pricing and stellar service. So....my hat is off to Ocean Shores Pharmacy and may they prosper greatly serving this community. For those that come to visit, could we have a little empathy for the challenges of building a business here, and be thankful for the professionalism and the heart to take on...

On a regular basis they don't have enough to fill your prescription thus making you come back again.
In the event of a refill and they need to fax the Dr to get an updated prescription, they will not tell you nor will they do anything further should the Dr not respond until you come in to pick it up. at that point they just say that they have not heard from the Doctor and will try again.
They often don't keep their posted hours and even the posted hours are hard to remember. Beware on Saturdays because they close early afternoon.
The clerks are usually friendly but the owner and the others filling the drugs are not kind at all. Just try and see if you ever get a smile.
so for now I put up with this because the alternative in going to town for them is a pain as well.
Every time I need a refill I try and anticipate what could go wrong so I don't have a problem and it is just unreal how seldom I can go in and just walk out with m completed orders. In fact very often they...
Read moreI moved here 6 months ago and take over a dozen meds a day. At first getting established in a small pharmacy was a little stressful but I explained that I had a bag full of meds I needed taken care of as they expired and that was all I had to do, they have taken better care of me than CVS and others in the past, if I run out of a med and it takes a day or two to get a new prescription they refill enough to get my through. The only thing I hesitate to mention is the prices, not on the medications but a lot of name brand over the counter items like Tagamet and so on are twice what they would be else where. But then again, they cater to tourist like the rest of Ocean Shores and whos to blame them for making a buck, if you want cheap go to...
