Was there sunday of memorial day weekend for some drinks with a friend. When we walked in around 230 there were maybe 2 groups of customers inside/outside(not busy at all). Sat outside to drink etc. and not 1 waiter or waitress came around to ask if we needed anything. After 30 or so mins, I went inside to drop glasses and get another round(I had opened a tab). Two employees were chatting each other up at the fridge and the one female bartender was serving a lady and there were 2 people in line to be seated. I asked for another round and she snidely remarked you need to get in line...??? Waited for 5 min then gave up as she was moving so slow it could have taken another 15 minutes to get a second drink(ya wow... and neither of the other two employees came over to bartend). It was honestly one of the strangest lounge/bar experiences I've had(I have to wait in line to get a second drink for two people for 10+ minutes because the bartender is incompetent and the other employees are too buys at the fridge to assist?)... Eventually said screw it and just went back outside and we left 15 mins later(when I went back outside the two people were still waiting in line and I could tell were as frustrated as I was. I never expect employees/servers to do backflips or go above and beyond, but this experience was ludacris. Only "positive" part was the one decent drink we got during our hour long...
Read moreMy husband and I came here last night. We loved Bagby and I was excited about Green Cheek coming to North County after loving them in the OC. Honestly, the service model leaves much to be desired. I know they just opened, but this isn't their first rodeo. Bartender was bland and never explained to us how our food would arrive to us. We just sort of guessed since all he did was hand us a buzzer. A lot of the staff were very unenthusiastic. They were just sort of there. They were nice enough, but didn't create a warm environment.
The food was good enough. We got a pizza and a Buffalo chicken sandwich. Everything had good flavor and I liked that they seasoned the crust on the pizza. That was a nice touch. The sandwich was also good, but just kind of small for the price. I opted for tots with my sandwich and while they were crispy they could have used a splash of seasoning salt or a dip to accompany.
Overall the experience was fine. I want to give it 6 months...

My first time trying Peacherine hop... From Gemini The Peacherine hop is a new hop variety developed by Freestyle Hops, a hop breeder based in New Zealand. It is an experimental hop, meaning it is not yet commercially available to all brewers. However, it has been used in a small number of beers by craft brewers around the world.
The Peacharine hop is known for its intense peach and nectarine aroma and flavor. It also has some citrus and tropical fruit character, as well as a hint of lime zest and floral notes. The hops are typically mid- to late-harvested, which helps to concentrate the peach and nectarine flavors. [Image of Peacherine hop]
Peacherine hops can be used in a variety of beers, but they are particularly well-suited for pale ales, IPAs,...
