In general I have had good experience with office visit. But this month October around the 1st of the month I had an appointment at 4:00 in the afternoon arrived there at 3:40 the waiting room was completely full and people standing in the hall and was informed it was going to be a half hour to an hour before I was going to be able to be seen. So instead of standing in the hallway I went back down to my car sit there for a short and decided to call and reschedule my appointment. They rescheduled me for the 24th of this month October. I arrived at 1:15 checked in was asked by the secretary for my insurance card which only one time I have been asked for that that was the first time I started there. Then she handed me back my insurance card and told me it would be $10 copay and I have been there numerous times and I've never had to pay nothing so she proceeded to tell me that well I may be billed for that. Will needless to say I went to sit down. a minute after I sit down my doctor went walking out of the office and so I proceeded to sit there for a half hour waiting. And at this point I decided well either went to lunch or went home for the day. So I went and told the secretary that I would not be waiting any longer that the doctor walked by and why wasn't he informed that he had a patient there and she told me that he must not have heard my page for me being there. I have never worked in the doctor's office myself but I would believe that the doctor would tell the front desk that he was leaving for the day or going to lunch before he left so I'm kind of thinking that the secretary just didn't tell him because she was mad because I told her I wasn't going to pay $10 copay. Then she asked me if I wanted to reschedule I said no thank you this is the second time I've rescheduled this month for this appointment. So I told her have the doctor call me if it's something...
Read moreThis review is specifically about Dr. Mohammad Pashmforoush at the Oceanside location—not the entire practice.
My 80-year-old father, who is still physically active and works full-time in landscaping, was referred here after one isolated episode of dizziness during a Southern California heat wave. Despite that context—and the fact that he hadn’t experienced symptoms before or since—Dr. Pashmforoush quickly recommended a pacemaker, offering very little explanation and showing little interest in hearing our questions.
The appointment itself lasted only three minutes, and as someone who values thorough medical care, I timed it because I felt something was off. We were scheduled just after lunch and were the first ones in the office. By the time we left a few minutes later, there were four other families waiting. Whether it was one doctor or several, the entire experience felt rushed and transactional—not like a thoughtful medical consultation about a life-altering device. It’s hard not to question whether these conversations are happening with the care and depth patients deserve.
My father is also a Spanish speaker, and he told me afterward that he didn’t really understand why he was being scheduled for a procedure. Had he not told me about the appointment, I wouldn’t have known at all that he was on the path toward surgery. That lack of clarity and communication is what made me step in—and what prompted us to get a second opinion.
I understand that pacemakers are important in many cases. But families need space to ask questions, understand risks, and feel like they’re being heard. Unfortunately, we didn’t experience that with Dr. Pashmforoush. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before moving forward with any major...
Read moreI had an appointment at Tri City Cardiology Dept. for a TEE procedure on May 13th, 2024. This was just a followup for the Watchman procedure I had last year. I was told to arrive at 10:30am which I did. I got checked in and was taken back to the area for the procedure by my 11am appointment time. I was not able to eat or drink anything from Midnight, only a sip of water to take my meds. Once I was put in the room to wait for my procedure I was prepared for the procedure, which was to take about 30 min. The whole time from check in to check out was to be a couple of hours. As it turned out my procedure didn't even happen until around 3:30pm and then I was not discharged until 5:30pm. There were no complications, everything went well, just the time waiting for the procedure and time it took to get checked out afterwards. All together I was there for 7 hours with only a small cup of water after the procedure, which I had to ask for. All the staff were nice, but I was never given a reason it was taking so long and I didn't want to bother them if they were that busy. I think they should have provided me with an explanation as to why it was taking so long. I have had procedures done there before and have never had any problems like this time. I was very unhappy with the way it all happened, but I didn't complain. I am not one to cause a problem, but I sure hope it never happens again. Needless to say it was a long day laying on one of those uncomfortable beds for 7 hours. Just had to get this...
