We signed up for a paddle board yoga session with Savannah and it was a great experience. Definitely the highlight of the trip. She was a great instructor and tailored the session to our skill level. She even took photos of us during the session so we could walk away with a memory of the experience. We also rented kayaks and paddle boards with Ride the Wind and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and provided us with great equipment. Highly recommend!!

Excellent sunset kayak tour. Our guide was friendly and helpful. Learned some interesting things about Ocracoke and the sound. Would definitely recommend for a great activity while in Ocracoke.

I've been going to Ocracoke since I was a kid (long ago) and I can testify that Ride the Wind is an iconic one-stop-shop for all of your beach life needs. Need a shirt? They've got 'em. Need gifts to take home those those who couldn't make the trip? They've got 'em. Need to rent a boogie board for the week? They've got 'em. Those cool OBX and Hwy 12 stickers? You guessed it, they've got 'em. The location is great, the owner is cool, the staff is knowledgeable and helful, and the place has a really great vibe. How could it not? It's a surf shop in the heart of paradise. Vibe is the default setting at RTW. First, go to Ocracoke. Second, go to RTW. Third, go back. You'll...

Just visited this store with my grandchildren who are 3-5. I was just starting to shop and had a bathing suit, 2 tops and a pair of shorts in my hand, when my sister who is vacationing with me told me to put the clothes down you are not spending your money here. It seems that the young girls working in the store made a comment “Most of kids in shop today until now but these kids are annoying. So my sister said to the girls, they’re not annoying their kids. Just so you know they were doing nothing but talking and laughing they weren’t touching anything or getting into anything. So needless to say I will not shop in the store again and maybe the owner should consider, hiring more mature...

Exceptional service in the store and with kayaks. Very fair and reasonable prices. Worked with us to help us not only find where to kayak but gave us recommendations and even picked up/delivered for us and helped us adjust our schedule and cost when there was unexpected windy weather. This is what customer service is. Right here. Amazing. The kayaks themselves were comfortable and easy to maneuver! Highly, highly recommend.

Tip: no tours in off peak season right now due to staff shortage but can recommend and drop off easy enough! I prefer being more independent and not with a tour so I loved the trust and flexibility...
