First time back to Ocracoke in nearly 20 years, had only remembered one other location for mediocre coffee on the island so finding this spot right on the Silver Lake Harbor was a literal breath of fresh air. Despite it’s humble size and tucked away location, the spot provides more than all you need if you prefer your coffee high-fidelity.
Serving Counter Culture Coffee, it was confidence-boosting I wouldn’t be getting some unidentified mud sludge that would give me stomach ulcers. Barista was super nice and sociable, and was eager to make me a cortado which wasn’t even a listed menu item.
So good that I brought my partner back the next day which she and I both got lavender lattes [not too weak, not too strong, but just right on the lavender]. Got a tasty blueberry muffin but the food highlight was an outstandingly fresh Overnight Oats bowl with fresh berries. Honestly probably the best breakfast I’ve had on the island to date.
