Ocracoke Shave Shack quickly became one of our favorite stops on the island—and for good reason. We made it a daily tradition, and it never disappointed.

The flavors are top-tier—bold, delicious, and far beyond your average shaved ice. Our kids couldn’t get enough of specialty combos like Strawberry Shortcake and Shark Bite. And the best part? You can customize any flavor with fun toppings like gummy bears, gummy worms, or Nerds for an extra burst of sweetness and fun.

The setting is perfect for families. There’s a whimsical rock garden full of bubbles, toys, and little treasures that kept our kids entertained, plus shaded picnic tables for relaxing and enjoying your treat.

Just a heads-up: the shop may close temporarily if it rains due to limited cover, but they’re ready to serve right at 12:30 PM on sunny days. The owners and staff are welcoming, professional, and always had a smile on their face.

This was our first time visiting this place and man oh man is it amazing! I ordered the Sunrise and ohhhhh was it refreshing. It tasted like vacation!
