I stopped in with my dad and siblings today (June 6) during a quick rainstorm in the middle of a beach day in Ogunquit. I really needed a springsuit style wetsuit and my brother needed a full wetsuit. The staff was so helpful and even got our family outfitted with a hybrid surf/paddle board, paddle, and leash. The surfboard was sustainably made and eco-friendly (partially made from recycled plastic). I was so impressed by the quality and choice of this local business. The female staff member who helped us get our wetsuits was super knowledgeable and helped us find exactly what we needed, for the right size and price. The guys at the shop helped my dad and brother load our board onto our car and assisted us with our tie-downs. Mark has been operating liquid dreams for over 30 years. He keeps his shop stocked with everything you could want and has always helped kids and parents enjoy the ocean and their lives by spreading his love for surfing. Growing up i never had a lot of money, he'd help us pick used boards, barely making any money on sales, but helping kids get in the water. Young staff epitomizes the pretentious “locals only” stigma that is often the stereotype in the surf community. Being a local surfer I always want to shop boards to add to the collection, but have never experienced friendly or helpful service. On my last visit I observed I was being watched more as a potential shop lifter than a cash paying customer.
