My husband and I are regulars at this Starbucks location. It is right next door to the Fred Meyer I often shop at. We often start our shopping trip at a table in this Starbucks where I can sit and sort through my store coupons and finalize my shopping list before trotting over to Freddy's. The staff at this Starbucks is usually friendly, several employees know us by sight and name and they are very responsive to special requests on our drinks; I am diabetic and and my favorite hot drink is a London Fog with whole milk and half the usual amount of sweetener - they get it perfect just about every time. We usually grab a bite to eat with our drinks and the selection here is good (and the food is also tasty). If I have one complaint that keeps me from giving it five stars, it's the music. Don't get me wrong, I like music and most of the time the music they are playing I either enjoy or at least it in innocuous as a background but occasionally, I've found the music annoying (or too loud). True, I've never complained to them or asked them to turn it down a bit; as for the choice of music, I wouldn't dream of requesting that they change those particular selections as for all I know, other patrons might be enjoying the music. Just recently, the gals in the outdoor(suite) location were super busy, and they had told me that the breakfast sandwich I ordered online was out of stock. They ended up giving me a gift card as compensation, and gave me a different sandwich of my choosing!! How sweet!! I was sooo not expecting that, and I would have been happy regardless if they gave me a gift card or not, but they did and I have so much appreciation for that. On another night, I was in the store and waiting in a line to get a chai latte- the line was long and there was only one girl working. She was so patient, kind, and personal with her customers. I’m impressed with how she handled the long line, especially since she had already mentioned that it was a crazy day in general. Read moreI was at this location around 6am before my appointment hoping get a quiet space with coffee and small breakfast sandwich to work on homework and it was SO overstimulating with ONE manager blurting out random things she screaming singing and as she walking next to me so many times practically in my ear, it was beyond obnoxious and unprofessional, then when I said jeez it’s loud she turns the music up so loud other customers can barley talk amongst each other, it seemed to be like a club or bar other then a peaceful coffee shop, the other workers were in a quieter well mannered professional behavior but the manager acted like a child.
