Fern & Fable Books — Local services in Ormond Beach

This is a specialist bookstore that carters to the Progressive Left/Left-Feminist/LGBT/Anti-Conservative crowd, so tons of non-mainstream books you can find here if those subjects or interests are you thing. I did like the store layout since I think it is nice how they are laying out the books with its color spines, but some might get annoyed that the color layout is the LGBT Rainbow flag layout. I think how they did it is clever within the store.

The biggest issue with the store is the same issue I have with Christian Bookstores in general: It only caters to a certain audience and if you don't fit into that audience, you will most likely not buy anything and won't come back for a second visit. This was my experience since to be frank I am not their target customer. When I went inside they were busy so there is a market for these books in a pretty conservative area of FL, which there's nothing wrong with that. I didn't see any used books, so I think their sales are just on the new books with their target...

Most magical book store, tiny but Incredible & so fun to explore! Sweetest owner at register… lots of offerings too: craft nights, book clubs, etc. Definitely lots of care & love is being put into this shop often- I’d say daily!! Creative, calm, well decorated & cozy + the most kid-friendly & pure childhood magic little area for the Littles in the very back of the shop. Wish all local bookshops could be as incredible as this one. 100% full of bookshop cozy dreams & heart/soul!!...

Love love love this book store!!! They’re pre loved section always has a good find for not expensive:) and they have so many options of books and cute decor it’s very hard to ever walk out empty handed 😂 alsoo owner is the sweetest ever!!
