I visited this place about a month ago and have been meaning to leave a review. My dad was visiting town and I drove down to meet him for a late dinner. This was on a Saturday night, so most places to eat/drink were jammed packed - which is not the atmosphere we were looking for. We looked up this place and decided to see what it was about since we were very hungry and liked the vibe their website gave off.

We arrived a little bit past 10:30pm. Sign inside says sit wherever we want, so we picked a table to have enough space to eat since the entire bar was full of patrons. The first short while we waited, nobody came to our table, yet I watched as numerous staff walked by, gave us a few curious glances, but kept walking to either the kitchen or their patio. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I just got up and picked up the food menus myself so then we could go through and see what we wanted to eat. You'd think, a pair of people who are looking at menus means they would like service, but yet another 15 minutes pass and nobody gave us anything but passing by smiles. At this rate, I'm just waiting for seats to empty at the bar because it's clearly the only spot that's being serviced.

After a pair of patrons leave, we take their seats and the bartender greets us. I ask her why no staff came to our table and she says "Table service ends at 11pm since our server(??) left." Checking the time... it was 11:10pm. And we've been in there since 10:30ish. Wonderful.

She was quick on drinks at least, but dad and I chose not to drink anything but water so as to not make our patience thinner then it already was. Knowing what we wanted to eat from looking at the menu beforehand, we told her that we were ready to order some food. She says "Okay, but we're only serving pizzas now."

Just our luck, what we did want to eat was... not, in fact, pizza. If we weren't practically starving at this point, I would have just asked dad if we could go somewhere else for all the time we wasted, but again, we were very hungry. So we were forced to look at the menu again at their pizza options. We ended up splitting a pizza that had lamb meat, feta, honey drizzle, and something else... forgot the name of the pizza itself. Perhaps it was because I was hungry - but that pizza was the only saving grace to this visit. It was REALLY good. Like, "where else can I buy this pizza" good because I live up in Jacksonville. I probably could have had one pizza to myself instead of splitting it with my dad!

Because the only thing we really bought here was the pizza, our bill was laughable. $16 for two people? Nothing wrong with that. I just wish the staff was more proactive in greeting us from the beginning and told us what was going on with service or the food instead of letting us twiddle our thumbs for 30 minutes. Lesson learned. Maybe they're good to visit on a weekday afternoon or early evening, but we definitely got bad luck of the draw the...

Great food was very pleased but have to only give two stars because of the way me and my husband were treated by staff and management. Whatever you do don’t sit at the larger tables because the manager will send out the waitress to have you moved to a two person table ASAP!!! Even with the fact that four tables were the only ones being seated with people and all other tables open for seating! There where no signs stating that larger tables are for only 5 and up. So once told we had to move even tho the places was not busy and the multiple tables were empty we moved to a two person table.!!! I tried to explain to the nice waitress that I had just had got off work as a First Responder 24 hour shift and just wanted a table alone in the back away for others to enjoy a dinner with my husband. She again told me her MANAGER will not allow a table for two to be seated at the larger tables! So ok let’s move on from here. Shortly after this another waitress came out and SLAMMED these large blocks of wood on the table tops of all the large empty table tops signs now that said Reserved!!! As she walked by us she had this huge smile on her face which wasn’t there early and said as she walked by us how you all doing tonight!!! Totally mocking us!!! After that another waitress walked by with a huge smile and started laughing as she looked straight at us!! Maybe it was because we’re First Responders or maybe it was because we had Veterans supporters T-Shirts on who knows at this point!! Here’s the kicker we then watched another couple come in as in TWO people and be seated at a large table just like we did and not be moved! They were allowed to sit there and the reserved sign was taken off the table??? they were then served drinks and food. No other people came in and were seated with them at the table the entire time I was there. They were allowed to seat eat and drink but we’re not?!! after a good amount of time went by we finished paid our bill and started to leave the restaurant shaking our heads! This is when we’re mocked again by their staff!! They started yelling GOOD BYE HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD TIME!!!! This place needs a serious management meeting on how to treat the customer and how to be professional!! If you don’t want your customers to set at a large table put out signs on the table to let them know the rule! Like I said maybe it was the fact we’re First Responders or the Veteran’s support shirts we wore just shaking my head at this whole experience!! Food was very good thought no complaints their. But beware don’t sit at the large tables or they will send the waitress out to move you ASAP!!! unless your the other couple like we saw then you can be seated their with out being...

Our reviews had over 42 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love the Kona Tiki Bar. I guess it is also called Grind Gastropub. Grind is the inside area and Kona is the outside area. We love the outside area. Feels like you are in a Hawaiian great tent very open air and lots of fans to keep you cool. Live entertainment nearly every night as well. Great bar, great HUGE tables for large groups as well as smaller tables for 4s and couples. Great pizza and burgers and other strange items that are all awesome. MUST have include the beef tips. Get extra gravy. OMG it is some of the best steak you can ever have and it is just an app. Sometimes I get 3 of them for my main course. The burger with egg is soooo good, but I prefer the KOBE beef burger. both come with double dipped fries that are awesome. Drinks are strong and cheap. Desserts are a MUST HAVE as well. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 42 million views in the last 12 months and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN. If we do a review it is...
