Kohl's — Local services in Oswego Township

It all happened so suddenly... We always go to the Naperville location, but we had an online order pickup & took returns to this Amazon department instead. We were helped by an employee who concerned us. He was not very pleasant & he was shaking like he missed his cigarette or coffee break. I wanted to ask him if he needed something to eat but I remained silent. We noticed that he scanned much differently than we are used to as he worked from two of the devices rather than the one. He didn't give us the receipts as he processed each return either. My sis said she needed them but he was throwing them away, it appeared. He told her he wasn't & to please be patient. She told him that she was sorry & wasn't trying to frustrate him. We said we just hadn't seen it done this way & we are given the receipt after each process. He didn't seem too happy & said, "you aren't frustrating me" in a frustrated voice.🤦🏾‍♀️ When the transactions were complete, we were given the receipts but it did look incomplete, so we looked for a manager as to not upset John any further. We told her about the situation & his conduct. She explained that he rang up two of them twice, but we did have all the receipts. We thanked her. She apologized for him & said she was glad we hadn't left without resolving the issue. Forgetting we had a pickup, she directed us to customer service where my sister jokingly said she'd cancel her whole order immediately if she had to deal with John in the C.S. department. We laughed as that wasn't possible. Well... Guess what...? Here comes John...!!! Popping out from between the aisles like Batman asking if everything was ok!!!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 She said, "yes, just getting an online order" & he walked in the back. We were thinking he thought we were going to go snitch on him there. I'm laughing harder & harder as we near closer to the help desk. EUREKA!!!!! OUT POPS JOHN, READY TO ASSIST US PERSONALLY! I cried real tears from laughing. He told us he was happy to help with whatever we needed. His attitude was so much more pleasant & professional. Did it take us to look like we were about to rat on him? It shouldn't have, but it seemed that way. Represent the place in which you work with a pleasant persona. Bad service gives you a bad name. Posting this here as well, for feedback for both Kohls and Sephora: I went in to buy a couple things, the lady who assisted me was nice but I've worked retail before/and have been a manager before so I know the signs of "watching customers". I didn't give any reason for them to watch me, I was trying on concealers and even told the associate what color I was debating on. They had a guy come up to me who looked like he worked in the regular kohls department not sephora, a few seconds after I talked to the lady. He came up to me and said "did someone already come and assist you" I didn't even ask for assistance but by the way he asked. You would've thought I did, I told him I was fine and thank you. I could tell that they were watching me. It automatically made me feel uncomfortable, I called the Naperville location and put the items back so I can spend my money elsewhere. I won't be coming to this location anymore, they definitely were profiling me which is sad on their part. I don't know what the issue is. But it was pretty obvious, the customer behind me asked the guy for help and he goes "oh I don't work here in this area, l'll grab someone who does" ...so how was he going to "assist" me if then? I've never stole anything in my life, and my dad is a police officer himself lol it's 2023, I can understand being cautious but there is a way to do it and it should only be done if someone actually looks suspicious. Kohl’s is a really great place! Their prices here are affordable and great. You can buy anything here without breaking your pockets. You can also find anything you need here and lots of interesting items. They have many different kinds of clothes. You can also find some great accessories here. I am really amazed by their items and stocks. Their racks are perfectly aligned and organized. The whole place is full of wonderful designs and interesting decors. This place is really enjoyable. Kohl’s place is really nice, so clean, tidy, neat, bright, and decent. Very welcoming and relaxing spot. They have a big parking lot and restrooms. Kohl’s is exceptional! Their staff is very helpful, nice, friendly, and accommodating. They are knowledgeable and willing to answer the questions from customers right away. They are also fun to be with. The whole place layout was easy to navigate and very interesting. I was able to quickly find all the items I was looking for.
