Meijer — Local services in Oswego Township

Clean store, polite staff, quality food, and great prices 💰💵. My only issue was with the pharmacy so I NEVER will use their pharmacy 💊 again, I still love ♥️shopping for my groceries and other supplies for my house at meijer. I also like that I can find toys for kids of all ages, clothes that are in style and great quality, you can find bathroom 🚻 accessories from shower 🚿 curtains to bath towels, rugs, etc. There is even an automotive section where you can find oil, power steering fluid, steering wheel covers and more, the electronics section has a wide variety of anything from computer accessories, video games, headphones 🎧 and so much more, you can find shoes, boots for adults, children, toddlers, and even for babies. There is fresh food ready to eat, to frozen food, snacks for the kids, fresh produce, fresh meat, fresh seafood, eggs 🥚, milk, wine 🍷 beer 🍺 there's even a gas ⛽️ station that has a selection of fuel from diesel to your standard petro, there's a charging 🚉 station for electric cars, and the diesel meijer sells has an anti gel to stop your fuel from freezing 🥶 in the winter trust me I know I drove a Volkswagen jetta diesel for over a decade and I only bought fuel at meijer because the few times I did not my fuel was frozen and became gel having me tow my car to the dealership and have my fuel become stable and unfrozen so I could quickly drive 🚗 to meijers gas station ⛽️ 🚉 and get their fuel because they actually think to help the customer by using additives to prevent freezing 🥶 or gelling. There's so much I did not include like meijer selling Christmas trees and Christmas decorations, ornaments, to Halloween decorations, ornaments, costumes, Easter decorations, Thanksgiving decorations, Hanukkah 🕎 decorations you name it and meijer has it. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STAR I WOULD!! I came into this store on Tuesday around 1PM to grab stuff for taco Tuesday while shopping a RUDE couple decides to step infront of me while i am in the isle looking at taco shells. I ignored it the first time until the husband does the same thing again and this time bumping me ! I told said to him “ you could of said excuse me “ he replied with a even ruder statement saying “ i don’t have to say excuse me your in my way” then his wife proceeds to say “ you’re in our way I’m white so I’m better than you” the couple then continued to step in front of me and even bumped me and proceeded to record and Antagonize me. in my 26 years of life i have NEVER encountered anything like this. That is when i lost it and got back rude with them…. Ultimately ending in all the store employees telling ME (because I’m black) that i wasn’t not allowed to record after they did for over 10 mins and that police is being called OK CALL THE POLICE TF i felt that i was being racially profiled and attacked in that moment nobody had my side when i literally didn’t do anything wrong. Placed a pickup order, and when I got home, I noticed the chicken didn’t smell right. I had to put it in a scented trash bag just to get it to the store. I brought the issue up to customer service and politely asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came over, I greeted him with a smile and explained the situation. He took my bag, said “sorry about that,” sniffed it, and said “I don’t smell anything.” He asked if I wanted an exchange, to which I kindly responded no thank you; I’d just like a refund please. He then gestured to the woman at the customer service desk and told her to perform a return for me. I asked Donna if she had any recommendations for this issue since we are new to the neighborhood. She kindly discussed my options and processed the refund. She told me to have a great day with a smile, which made me feel better about the encounter.
