Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Oswego Township

My order was scheduled for 5:30pm and I arrived at 5:32. I waited 20 minutes until the side bar staff seemed to stop putting together orders. I approached the gentleman and showed him my confirmation screen asking if this was the correct location for my order and if he could give me an update on the status of my order. The guy quietly tapped some buttons on the screen and repeated a few times "we're backed up." and "there's going to be more of a wait.". He eventually found my order and said "yea it's gonna be a little bit longer." There was 2 people waiting near me for their orders as well but I've definitely seem longer lines in the past. The staff was very laid back and seemed in no hurry at all. As we approached 6pm my husband switched places with me as my kids were getting quite antsy in the car. He asked for a manager who, at first, seemed shocked that we had ordered ahead and was nearing the 30 min mark of waiting after the scheduled time. When he spoke to the employee, his first response was "we're busy, you gotta expect this" and then "oh! Somebody stole her order, I gotta remake it." He then told my husband that he had told me this. He had not. I'm a pretty understanding person, but I feel once I addressed the issue, if my order had been stolen, it should have been made ASAP, and not told "it'll be a while longer". Unfortunately this is not the first time I have waited an extended period of time after my scheduled pick up, but everyone can have a bad day. I haven’t been to a chipotle in over a year. I remember why now! I went here on a Saturday around 1:30-2:30. Line was kinda long nothing crazy. Garbage on a table while waiting in line and still there after I got my food. Gentleman in front of me brought back his burrito due to lack of meat. He ordered double meat again in line. The employee still gave him one serving size when he asked for double. I ordered the carne asada. They were waiting for more of that was cooking my rice and beans sat out on the cold food prep line while waiting for more carne. Once I got my food it was all so cold and portion size was very very small for a 20$ burrito. Went grab my drink, no ice in the ice machine no forks anywhere to be found. A table of so younger kids next to me. Every single one of them were complaining about the size of their food and how messy it was prepared. 3 taco meal with rice all over. I haven’t been to a chipotle in well over a year. First time back and hearing nothing but negative feedback is very upsetting when this use to be my go to place for a fast affordable meal. Luckily we now have 2 dos bros within 2-3 miles of this chipotle. Lastly went to the garbage to toss my bag out. Completely overflowing with garbage. Unacceptable for such an expensive place to eat at 16-20$ for 1 meal and can’t find the time to clean tables, empty garbage or fill ice machine with ice no forks to eat bowl with. Don’t come to this Chipotle. I came with the fam and when I was getting my bowl the meat serving was very small. When I asked them to add some meat they said it would cost extra. I had explained that I thought the portion size was too small and I didn’t want to pay for double to have a regular size portion. The guy who was serving at the time, who is a larger white guy with short brown hair with a short trimmed beard and goatee, just stood there staring at me, so I asked again if he could just add a little more meat and then he repeated himself about the extra cost. Then, I was going to get some guac and the color of it was dark brown. I asked if they had any that was fresher, and he showed me an extra container they had where the guac was just as brown. I passed on the guac and the guy said it’s because avocados are out of season.. ok but if you go to another Chipotle there looks just fine? The assembly line and store was dirty and most of the tables. After we sat down to eat at a clean table, I went to ask if there was a manager on duty, which the girl I asked said that she was the manager. I asked if she saw what happened with the guy and she confirmed that the size he gave me was a portion size. It definitely wasn’t.
