I have bought furniture from Mudds since the 80, and have spent quite a lot of money in that store . Have three bedrooms suits in my house now that came from there. I bought a new sectional two weeks ago and as soon I got it I notice several flaws in the fabric and one of the recliners did not work. We called Mudds and they agreed to send someone out. After a couple of days we call again and finally they sent someone . They agreed the the sectional needed several repairs. We went to the store to see if we could find a different one to exchange the one we had purchased . We finally found a different one but it was almost 1300 dollars more. I asked the manage if they could reduce the price some and that I will be will to meet them half way in the middle on the difference in prices of the new one and the old one . The manager said flatly " Well were not going to do that" I said you sold me a bad product , what about a little customer service here? She was very hateful and said " Well the one you have can be fixed" I told her I didn't buy a new product only to have to have it fixed. She rudely turn away and said " Were not doing that" ! So long story short we got our 5K back and went to a store and bought a new sectional. I would recommend Charlotte's in Ohio...
Read moreI called to get price range on recliners. The sales person told me she was away from the furniture and proceeded to estimate the price range. I don't think an estimate is what I asked for. I needed a person who would look up or go see the price range. If you don't want to work or get up and walk a few feet, find another job. I recently purchased a mattress and box springs from them. The salesperson who took care of the transaction was the worst person I've ever dealt with. She was short with her answers and replies and I had NO CHOICE in choosing the mattress. When it was delivered I saw a hole in it after it was placed on the bed. Delivery people were already gone. Needless to say I called Mudds and they couldn't replace it for another 3 days. So I told them what I thought about it and proceeded to sew up the hole. How sad that companies don't care about the quality of their merchandise. The company the mattress came from doesn't care either. Sad!! I cannot recommend Mudds or Johnson Furniture Company. I'd have to say...
