Owensboro Convention Center — Attraction in Owensboro

There is never anybody there to answer simple questions properly. Called about parking for a concert at the convention center during BBQ fest and the woman had no idea about parking and couldn’t tell me if the lot was going to be for the people attending the concert only. Haven’t really had any good experiences with these people every time I go to a show there. It’s ridiculous to pay such a huge price for a concert and can’t get guaranteed parking at the venue especially handicapped parking. Also just a warning if looking at the seating chart be careful because the sections are so messed up that you might be thinking you get row 1 or 2 but that could be in a back section the way they separate them. Don’t get fooled and be in Section 6 Row 2 and get stuck in the back of the other seats and not in actual 2nd row...

Beautiful views and spacious, but I attended a conference here and they ran out of food before feeding everyone in the group and there are conditioning ducts started literally raining water all over the place. There were lots of technical issues. If you are going to have over a thousand lawyers visiting and holding their convention there and you've known about it for a year, seems you could get your act together and make sure the maintenance is top notch. I also was not happy that after running out of food at a buffet or agency paid for, they had a little shop with sandwiches and drinks open where they were charging $4 for a bottle of soda. It's a beautiful building. However, they don't utilize the space effectively for their venues. I purchased tickets for a comedian who they set up in the lobby with a microphone and a set of speakers. The sound was terrible and there was an echo. The prices they advertise on their website are also misleading. If you purchase tickets online you will pay a hefty fee. If you purchase at the ticket counter I have seen them literally cross out the advertised price with a pencil and write above it a higher price.
