I like Orchelen's, but this particular day i asked my mother to run there and grab me 4- 5/16" hardened bolts,self tapping if possible. They sent her home with no bolts said they didn't know where I was going to find hardened bolts that small. Well I knew they had them because I was in there a week prior and bought some. Once she got home I had to stop what I was doing and run into Pacific to get the bolts. This wouldn't be bad but it's a 30 mile round trip. One which my mother had just made for nothin. So I went there and found the bolts in 2 minutes. I asked how many guys were working. There was three. So I don't know where they have found all the incompetent help. I’ve never gone into this store & have had an issue. The employees are always eager to assist you if you need to find something. Not sure why people choose to give low reviews because the store doesn’t have something you need - call the store prior to physically going there & see if they have what you need. Also, for those who are saying that the living conditions of the baby ducks, turkey, chickens, etc... are terrible - just stop. I love having the option of shopping at Orscheln. I am able to easily take care of most of my pet and outdoor needs there. My only complaint is I NEVER get discounts from my card - what does it take to get an occasional discount on regularly purchased items? Another example: yesterday I bought a chainsaw and 25 feet of electrical cable - the cable was over $300 and the chainsaw was not cheap either.
