The last few times I have had to do a return I have had nothing but a miserable experience. I literally exclusively shop Nordstrom both online, in store and rack/rack online. I ordered a pair of shoes in store that had to be shipped bc my size wasnāt available in store. When they arrived the fit was terrible so I had to return. This was the start of my recent horrendous experiences. The shoe department could not have treated me more horribly but I blew it off to someone having a bad day.
Then, I ordered a a few dresses online and needed to return two of the dresses. I went to the womenās dept this time and after having to search for someone to even do the return (I was also on my lunch break) I was met by someone who came huffing and puffing and when I asked can I do a return here she slammed down the clothing in her hands and told me I should have done my return at another register (the pick up section) she huffed and puffed the entire time and continued slamming stuff around and slammed the receipt down at me when she was done, turned around and walked away. I was so taken aback but again we all have bad days. Ironically, when I have made purchases from this same person she was always kind and helpful.
Brings me to today which finally put me over the edge and prompted this review. I purchased 4 different tees last week online and picked up in store. I tried them on in store and decided to keep two. After getting home and trying the white on I realized it was very see through so wanted to return this one as well. THUS, here we go again same exact issue again. I ran into the mall on my lunch break to grab lunch and wanted to do a quick return so this time tried the first floor in childrenās dept. I was literally returning one teeshirt that I purchased on my Nordstrom card. Should be simple, right? I think I could have done it myself. Yet, I was treated like I was asking for a million dollars. She huffed and puffed the ENTIRE time. I even tried explaining to her multiple times it was on my Nordstrom card it was the last purchase I made and should be super simple to find. She just continued to treat me like a piece of garbage.
So incredibly disgusted with the store the last few weeks. I have been a loyal customer for years, was SOOOO supportive throughout the pandemic supporting both in store and online constantly despite how outdated the store is and the lack of customer service.
I am not sure what type of policy Nordstrom has rolled out to have employees behave in this way but something feels OFF.

Nordstromās had a lovely pair, in my husbandās size, with guaranteed delivery by today (Valentineās Day) for an additional $20 in shipping.
Iāve been a faithful customer of Nordstromās for more than 20 years. I felt confident that if Nordstrom offered a guaranteed delivery for Valentineās Day, I would receive the shorts in time to give them as a gift to my husband.
I looked for the package to arrive throughout the day. Nothing. Finally, it was time to go out for our Valentineās Dinner, but there was nothing. I thought for sure it would be there when we returned home⦠but still no package.
So I went online and started a chat with Nordstromās customer service to see when the shorts would arrive.
I was told (repeatedly) that the customer service representative was very sorry, but the shorts would not arrive until 2/15/19. They offered to refund the 1-day shipping charge (very nice, considering they were not going to deliver them in 1 day).
I said the shorts were of no value as a Valentineās Day present on the day after Valentineās. I asked for the order be canceled and that I be given a complete refund.
The representative continued to be very sorry, but it was impossible to cancel the order.
She went on to say that I could take the shorts to the post office and have them shipped back to Nordstromās and that I would receive a refund.
Or, if I preferred, I could take the shorts to the nearest Nordstromās ā 2 hoursā drive round trip ā to return them.
In either case, Nordstromās would ensure a credit back to my card⦠in 3 ā 5 business days.
Say, what? I pointed out that it did not take 3 ā 5 business days for Nordstromās to charge my card ā it happened immediately! Why was it going to take 3 to 5 days to give me a credit?
My husband just came back from walking our dogs and we are going to exchange gifts ā only his gift will be a Valentineās card and I will have the fun of getting his gift together when it arrives and mailing it back to Nordstromās.

I have been a loyal Nordstrom customer since I first started shopping there when I lived on Long Island. I have always found their customer service to be superior to their competitors - it is the main reason I shop their. Even when I travel across the country and I am in need of new items for my wardrobe, I have always counted on Nordstrom and their knowledgable staff to provide me with assistance.
My recent shopping experience at Nordstrom at the Gardens Mall left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have always heard great things about Nordstrom's customer service, but my encounter was anything but positive. From start to finish, I encountered numerous issues that made me question whether Nordstrom truly values its customers.
First and foremost, the staff at Nordstrom were unhelpful and unfriendly. When I entered the store, I approached an employee for assistance, but they seemed disinterested and unwilling to assist me. Their lack of knowledge about the products and their dismissive attitude made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer.
I had an issue with a product I purchased days ago. When I tried to exchange it, the employee who handled my return was rude and unhelpful, making me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. They provided no solution or alternative; I was left to fend for myself and advised to ājust order it onlineā.
Overall, my experience at Nordstrom was incredibly disappointing. The lack of customer service, unhelpful staff, and poor handling of returns all contributed to my dissatisfaction. As a customer, I expect better treatment and service when shopping at a reputable retailer like Nordstrom.
I hope that Nordstrom takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service. It's crucial for them to understand that customer satisfaction is the key to success in today's competitive retail landscape. Until I see significant improvements, I cannot recommend Nordstrom at the Gardens Mall to others and will be taking my business elsewhere...
