Taps 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar offers a vibrant and enjoyable dining experience. From the moment we entered, the lively and bustling atmosphere set a positive tone for our Saturday evening dinner with a party of five. While the restaurant was clearly busy, the noise level remained conducive to comfortable conversation, a welcome balance often hard to find in popular establishments. Our server deserves particular commendation. Her attentiveness and timing were impeccable. She seemed to possess an innate sense of when to check in, providing excellent service without being intrusive. Considering the restaurant's bustling environment, her ability to manage our table so efficiently was truly impressive. The majority of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Those who opted for red meat dishes expressed complete satisfaction, praising the quality and preparation. However, we did encounter a couple of issues with the grilled dishes. The Grilled Chicken Avocado Salad fell short of expectations. The chicken lacked the characteristic char and flavor of grilling, tasting more akin to boiled chicken. This absence of color and taste was disappointing. Similarly, the Cajun Grilled Mahi Sandwich was reported to be excessively dry. One of our guests had enjoyed a more flavorful and moist grilled mahi at another restaurant the previous day, making the contrast quite noticeable. Despite these shortcomings with the grilled chicken and mahi, the overall experience at Taps 42 was positive. The excellent service, coupled with the lively yet conversation-friendly atmosphere, created a pleasant dining environment. We would still recommend Taps 42 to others, albeit with a suggestion to perhaps explore the non-grilled menu options. Our experience suggests that the kitchen excels with certain dishes, particularly the red meat selections. While the issues with the grilled items were a point of feedback, they weren't significant enough to overshadow the positive aspects of our visit. We would certainly consider returning to Taps 42 in the future, eager to try other items on their...
Read moreOk, so I've never been here and went because my sister is visiting from Chicago and was staying at a hotel nearby. The food was excellent but that paled in comparison to the service and attention to detail that our server John Calderaio provided us. This young man displayed EVERYTHING you could want in a MODEL EMPLOYEE. He was working hard serving 5 tables including ours, he was polite, and left no stone unturned with respect to cleaning tables after folks left. I was extremely impressed when he sprayed and cleaned not the table down the way from us, but the bench seats to. This is a CLEAN place to eat which is very important to many people including myself. He didn't know that I was watching him as I was chatting with my sister. I was so impressed with his work ethic and excellent manners that I asked him to call over the manager. The poor kid scared, and thought that he did something wrong when it was the complete opposite. I told him not to worry, that his manager needed to know what I had witnessed. He was immediately relieved and went to get the manager. Manager Paolla Marchelly came over (extremely nice lady) and I explained how impressed my sister and I were about John. I then asked for his last name because there are many Johns, but there is only ONE John Calderaio. Congratulations Jonathan for being YOU. Dont change! Stay hard working and please KNOW that you MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Continue to work hard even when nobody is watching (which you did today) and always volunteer to help your manager and others when you have a free second (you didn't today!). Calm under stress and polite to the end - you are a SUPERSTAR. God Bless you John. Thank you Paola M for your excellent leadership. I won't hesitate to eat there if Im up that way again. ...
Read moreDisappointing- we were regulars several years ago at their original Ft. Lauderdale location . As they have expanded to open numerous locations quality seems to have gone downhill- used to have cutting edge microbrews-we used to drive around 100 miles just to try the new beers they would have on tap- now we could barely find a beer that we would want to drink(think they have 2 dark beers and the majority are tropical/citrus based beers- couldn't even find an IPA_ Jai Alai which you can get at Publix is there top IPA- no longer a place for beer lovers. We went on their website and noticed the Ft Lauderdale location still has a much better beer selection. Not sure if they think people in Palm Beach don't know good beer? If anything alot more money in this area than their Ft. Lauderdale location. Has become a Friday's type of place. Their steak sandwich had been quite impressive but our most recent visit the portion size was less than 1/2 the portion size than usual- literally about 4 bites- is inflation affecting them now even though inflation is coming down? We found it odd the bartender was asking everyone for their credit card ahead of time even though we went for dinner we had to give a credit card to put on file and the bartender was doing this with all of the customers. On a Saturday night the place was more than 1/2 empty. Staff they have not the most appealing looking as well- odd experience overall. We will check their website to see if they decide to add some decent beers otherwise way too many good restaurants in Palm Beach Gardens/Jupiter for this price point. We miss the experience that we used to get at their Ft Lauderdale...
