T.J. Maxx — Local services in Palm Desert

Came today on a Sunday at 7:44pm, the store closes at 8 as per hours online and in window.

The manager here turns customers away 15 mins before the store closes and locks the door.

I knocked on the window and she came and told me

"we are closed it's already almost 8oclock"

I shower her my phone and watch that it was 7:44 she replied

"that's not the correct time"

I said yes it is the correct time my phone is on satellite time. She replied

"well that is not the time we have in the store for our computers everything is closed in 6 mins."

I told her "Look it's 7:45 now if u don't let me in I will call your Manager as well as corporate "

She told me she was the manager and let me in telling me I needed to hurry because they are closed, mind you it's still 7:45.

I shouldn't be writing this review but it's absolutely ridiculous my receipt even shows their store computers were in the correct time I checked out at the register at 7:54 ! I'm never EVER comming back here again because of this poor business practice !

Manager lying that their clocks are 10 mins ahead that they close in 5 min and turnin paying customers away so they don't stay past 8. Very poor business practice ! Even if they were closing in 5 mins that's more then enough time for me to grab the stuff I already knew I wanted...

I just love going in this store! I immediately head with a cart to the perfume, moisturizers, candles, then up and down each aisle where all the kitchen, gifts, household items, linens, rugs, dog stuff...I could spend the day just looking, reading things. I try to go about every 2 months but now that Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, New Years and then all the sales... it's as if my steering wheel has an automatic sense that TJMAX is where I want to go. Their baby, children, young adults and us grownups all have a chance to check out the styles and bigger sizes..ie: xtra large and some large items...shoes for all..not to worry!! You will find something AND SOCKS TOO!! GO CHECK IT...

The employee Julia from Health and beauty was very rude. She said that the perfumes were not testers and that you had to buy them before testing them in a very rude manner. She kept circling the customer like a shark very close. Not even keeping her 6ft distance. Then she stood there and gossiped to the other employee that she told the customer they couldn't smell the perfumes. This lady needs customers service training. And she need to keep 6ft away from...
