On Nov3 2024. I went to the Verizon store at Desert Crossings in Palm Desert. First let me say it is not a Verizon Corporate Store. It is a franchised store owned by a company called Vectra. I went to sign up with Verizon after using Spectrum. My family uses Verizon. I made a 2pm appointment to trade in my phone and get a new one. I was assisted by one of their sales people named Fillipe. He explained and showed me a phone that with a trade in I would the phone for free. I also traded in the tablet. In the middle of the process to port my cell number he gave me a new number temporarily while doing the other adjustment. All of a sudden the wifi went out. We were told that they rented the space and it's the landlords Wifi and they are basically at the landlords mercy and have nothing control over the wifi. Myself and all the other customers waited and waited and waited. Finally the wifi came back on. It was on for enough time to get my phone done as it went out again. I couldn't leave as I needed to pay for whoever fees there were. I was never told what my monthly would or any additional cost due to the chaos with there being no wifi. Eventually Philppe had to go to another store in Palm Springs so he could charge my card. He called and the charge was $324.25. I asked for what? He said the tax on the phone and tablet. My phone was $800 and the tablet with the trade in was around $225. The math for the taxes did not add up. On top of that i was charged $208. That was for #95 activation fee and my monthly would be $159. I was paying $35 a month at Spectrum. I was overwhelmed. I went to the store the next day to ask for an invoice to see why I was charged the $324.25. I asked for a breakdown. Their computers were down again no one could help and they had put another person's Invoice in my bag which I showed the salesgirl. Philippe had give me his cell number in case I had a problem. I called him, text him to ask what these charges of $324.25. Never responded. I called Vectra the number where the money was charged they couldn't tell me. Until today from Nov 3 to Nov 29 I have not gotten a reply. My bank has a claim to try and get to the bottom of these charges. I went to the LA Quinta store and it was there that I was explained that this store is not averizon store but a separately owned and they could not help me. I gave this store one star. They emailed wanted to know why. On error I put my review on the wrong Verizon store which I deleted. Now Vectra can understand why I gave them one star. If you go to this store make sure the wifi works or it will be a nightmare...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām the account owner of a family share plan and my dad wanted a new phone. He went to this Verizon franchise (not a true Verizon store) and was told I needed to be there in person or add him as an account manager. The store personnel told me I could call *611 to set it up and avoid the trip. I followed all prompts and received confirmation he was added. 20 minutes later the VZ franchise called me back to say he wasnāt showing up as account manager. So I called and spoke with an actual person at Verizon (not the franchise) and after being on hold for over 30 minutes they said the digital request had gone through and he had no idea why that Verizon store couldnāt see it. He sent me an email verification and I had a screen shot from Verizon website showing that he was an account manager. That wasnāt good enough for the person in this Verizon franchise and I had to make a trip down in addition to all the time spent on the phone. When I got there the VZ employee kept saying things like āI donāt know what you did wrong, but I canāt see him on the account.ā Clearly I did nothing wrong when the actual VZ account shows him added. He had no explanation as to why he couldnāt see it and kept accusing me of screwing up and he wouldnāt acknowledge that his system was the problem. Even the actual VZ Corp said the employee must be doing something wrong. Drive to another locationā this one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad to buy a new phone, and very tech challenged, so being on a small fixed Veterans disability income, I asked the Verizon sales person on the phone if I could get help turning on my new phone locally. He told me just take it to a local Verizon store and they would set me up, no extra charge, no problem. So I purchased the phone, made the appointment and brought my old and new phones thinking I'm prepared.
Nope, it's a $30 dollar charge for setting up my new phone. When I told him that I checked before I finalized the purchase about help turning on my new phone, his eyes just glazed over, and he told me I was lucky he wasn't charging me $50š³
So My entire experience having to buy a new phone has just incredibly sucked from the very beginning when the original new phone I ordered for $145, but for some unknown reason wasn't available and they switched me to a $800 phoneš¤Æš¤š That took me 2 hours straightening it out (sort of) but still ended up with the expensive phone, but, was thrown a $100 credit to shut me upš Trust me, if I had any choice other than being without a phone soon I would have taken it... 19 years as a Verizon customer doesn't seem to mean much to Verizon.. PS, still haven't got my new phone set up, tried to do it myself online, but kept messing up, when I say tech challenged, I...
