Stopped by again...3 chargers empty...none working. I'm on hold with EA now. Chargers are not connecting to the network and therefore not working. Electrify America continues to provide horrible service. Making nonsensical statements like it's your car (it's not) or 122 minutes to charge from 50-80% is acceptable. Then offering to yaje my credit card and charge me for what I get for free. Moving customer service to the Philippines reduced customer service substantially.
I stopped by again and was only able to get a 12% charge in 30 minutes. The highest speed achieved was 35kW on a 150kW Charger. It's sad how consistently unreliable and slow Electrify America Chargers are.
Another charge stop another Electrify America Failure. Busy station with a much needed charger down. It was tagged so they know it's broken yet still haven't repaired it. My charger wouldn't work though it worked for the person before me. I had to call and have it reset. I ended up spending over an hour there and was late for an appointment. Do better Electrify America. No 350kW at this location and the 150kW was only doing 113kW or less Electrify America has such an immense way to go before providing good customer service. They don't have the capacity to service the onslaught of new EV Owners. They are already struggling with the...
Read moreUpdate 10/14/24: All 4 chargers are up and running, seemingly at full speed at 1pm. Swell! As such I'm upgrading my rating, cautiously, by one star. Update 8/15/24: One charger (#1) blocked off-unavailable, #2 in use, #3 charger says it's available but won't start charging, charger #4 charging at 72kW.
Update 6/23/24: Not good - 2 of the chargers are blocked off, and the one that is across the lot from the other 2 is limiting charging power.
Not the fastest, but pretty fast: 150 max. There was no one else there at midnight other than a security guard, which felt safer.
Addendum 1/31/24: This evening one of the chargers was available but the screen was blank, making it look like it was inoperable; I plugged it in and then had to use the app to confirm and start, and it worked just fine even though the charger screen never came alive. I monitored the session on my car's screen instead.
Update 5/22/2024: I stopped today at around 10:30. One open charger and no one waiting. I noticed they've added a 4th charger about 20 yards away from the other 3. It looks like it's not yet operational, but that's a good sign. (See...
Read moreThis station is actually laid out well, unlike the Palm Desert location where you can only use 3 of the 4 stations. This was my first time trying EA, and the charging went smoothly. Wasn’t sure about whether I needed my phone to activate the charger during the free weekend charging. I did use my app the first time, and after a few minutes, I wasn’t sure it was charging me as it showed $$ accumulating. So, I stopped it. After disconnecting and reconnecting, it started charging on its own without activating on the app, and got up to my 70% set point in about 16 more minutes. The cables are relatively short, and very heavy. I made sure I pulled our Bolt up close to minimize the stress from that cable. If using this at night, be aware that homeless people hang out there and do drugs while charging their cell phones next to the far right space. Park as far to the left as you can. We watched a guy doing that, as well as changing...
