Aqua Beachbreak Resort Condo Rentals — Hotel in Panama City Beach

My wife and my 1 year old daughter are staying right down the beach from there so we decided to walk down to eat dinner. When we got there, the place was pretty busy and the sign said, Please see hostest. So we stood there for a min and a waitress came up to us. She said all they had were High top tables, which would not work for us as we needed a booster seat. She said we could down stairs if we wanted to, so we did. We got down there and sat down. I had to go back upstairs to get a booster seat. We waited 15 min and noone waited on us. The lady who told us that we could go downstairs even came down and, to much respect, took the table's order next to us (about 8 people) without writing anything down. She looked as us as she got done and headed back up the stairs. I told my wife, I did not blame her for not even taking our drink order because she had all of that to remember. However, no one ever came back. So as we walked back up she looked as us and said, "Didn't someone wait on you?" I have read good reviews about the food and the place in general, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone because of beyond...

Wouldn't even give this place 1 star... upon arrival we were told our room was not available but they would call us when it was. We went to go get some early dinner and waited and waited and waited (past check in time) finally got tired of waiting and went back to ask about our room. We were told our room was ready. Got our room key and went to our room, got to the room and walked in on an older couple having sex in the room.... went and told the lady at the desk.. no apology and acted as if we were rude for bothering her. given another room, after walking into our new room we got hit with a strong odor of marijuana as soon as walking in.... the room was very dated and didn't appear to be clean. Needless to say we left and found somewhere different to stay. Never again will I attempt...

Location is great. Beach is beautiful. Staff is nice. Avoid rooms on bottom floor- carpet stinks, can't see the beach even though they are considered beach-view, and mold grows above doorway and drips on you right as you walk into the room. After the first night we asked to switch rooms, and they very nicely did to one on the top floor which didn't stink and the view was much better.

There are no elevators or ramps so heavy bags and coolers were a bit of a pain. The sheets/linen irritated my skin, and the pillow gave me a headache after the third night. We had a room with a large fridge, stove, microwave, and pots to cook in- this was a very nice upgrade many hotels don't offer.

Overall experience was decent, but we won't book here again for our trip next...
