From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, our stay here was THE BEST we’ve ever had! The staff were amazing, EXTREMELY friendly & welcoming. Little to my knowledge my week spent here would turn out to be an engagement trip! My fiancé had mentioned upon check in to Casini what his plans were and that he’d tried hiring a photographer months in advance with zero luck. Without hesitation, she offered to take photos for us. She and her husband (Quinton) both work at the property and drove an hour back to work after they had gotten off for the day to take our engagement photos and videos. I had no clue that all of this was happening and they went above and beyond to keep it a secret and do a kind deed to make sure my fiancé was able to surprise me! I can’t brag enough about the two of them and how incredibly kind & selfless they were, not only to us, but every single guest they encountered! After the proposal we headed in to the lobby bar for celebratory drinks where we met Kaila (bartender). She made us some of the best drinks we have ever had! She too was welcoming and was a keynote in our stay being so memorable! She was also EXTREMELY friendly & inviting! These three employees do not know the impact they had on us during our stay! This was truly a trip we will never forget!
Our room was pristine upon arrival! We enjoyed our stay from room 521 with a phenomenal ocean view! The bed faces the balcony window/door where you can quiet literally see the ocean while laying in bed! If you’re worried about the sun in your eyes early morning, fear not, as there are multiple curtains to be closed to ensure the room is blacked out! The room had a super clean mini fridge & small microwave! There’s a decent size tv in the room as well. The bathroom was exceptionally clean as well, was stocked with four towels, four wash rags, and a stepping towel for the shower. The shower was spacious & very clean with shampoo, conditioner & body wash mounted to the wall for convenience. There was also body lotion mounted to the well beside the sink & two body bars on the counter top upon arrival. Our balcony had two chairs and a table between them for your viewing pleasure!
Breakfast is served every morning and is a large spread! They switch it up every morning! We had omelets, French toast, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, waffles, potatoes, sausage patties & links and several other options like cereal. They offer coffee, orange juice, apple juice & milk as drink options too.
There were always lots of beach towels available between the double doors going out to the beach front. The pool was large and always clean. There’s sitting area around the pool. If you want to head down to the beach they have a nice walkway down where you can either take stairs or use the ramp. When you head back in there are three shower stations for removing sand before going in the building.
There is chair rental, jet ski rental, banana boat rides, & parasailing directly at the end of their ramp going down to the beach front which is extremely convenient! There is also a breezeway between the main building and the parking garage to keep you out of traffic and cool to get to your vehicle!
ALL of the staff here was fantastic but we would love to sincerely thank Casini, Quinton & Kaila for making this such a memorable trip that we’ll hold dear to us forever.
If you’re considering booking here, just do it! There are so many places to eat here and things to do! Go fish at the pier, go to pier park and shop, eat at- pineapple Willy’s, the juicy seafood, whataburger & firefly! Walmart & target are also basically straight...
Read moreMe and my fiancée stayed here back in April. The hotel itself was still very new and looked great. The rooms are nice and clean with some quality finishing, except for the shower in the accessible room. There's a shower curtain, but it hangs exactly above the edge of the shower and because a shower curtain is not straight, this means that a lot of water will just poor onto the bathroom floor. Bad design if you ask me.
The pool and hot tub are also very nice, a welcome change from the beach I must say. The hot tub can get real hot, up to you whether that's good or bad.
The thing that really bothered me was the staff and how we were treated. I'm not one to complain about customer service in general, but I thought this was worth sharing.
First issue: We booked the room through a 3rd party website, like I imagine most people do. When we checked in, we were told we didn't get a ocean front room because apparently this wasn't on the reservation. In fact, we were told we'd get an accessible room because that's what we booked. Now I don't know where this went wrong, but we were specifically looking for a ocean front room and since we don't need an accessible room at all, we would never book that.
Just a heads up if you don't get a ocean front room, leave the curtains closed because the parking lot is not really worth looking at.
Wherever the fault lies, I asked if we could change rooms and told them I'd gladly pay extra for an ocean front. The woman at the desk told me that, because it was booked through a third party they couldn't change rooms, this wasn't possible in their system. Now that is obviously a lie. You own the hotel, you can change the rooms. I've had hotels do it all the time. If not her, than her manager. This became more apparent when we asked the next day. Another woman was helping us and she told us that she couldn't change rooms because they ocean front rooms we're booked full. Now, obviously one of them is not telling the truth. Why would the first one feed me a lie if there was a more obvious and believable reason, all rooms booked?
Second issue: My girlfriend had hung up her bathing suite together with a towel in the bath room on one of the hooks. When we got back to the room the towels were replaced with new ones. Fine, even tho against the policy (leave towels on the floor if you want them replaced), a lot of hotels give you clean towels anyway. But they accidentally took her bathing suit too.
We went to the front desk to ask if they found the bathing suite She called someone and explained to the situation. We were told that they would let us know later that day if they found something. We didn't hear anything, so we went back the next day. The same phone call was made and then situation explained again. Doesn't anyone leaves messages or anything? I felt like nobody even bothered to look when we first asked. Again, we never heard from anyone so we just let it go. Clothes getting mixed with towels can happen, honest mistake. Chances are they'd never find it anyway in the massive amount of laundry, but I expect an answer at least. Especially after asking a second time. And if you really don't bother, at least make it look like you actually care.
Long story short, the hotel is very nice, but they should really need to train some of their staff because this put a real damper on the...
Read moreWe just left there yesterday. This was our third time staying in a suite. The location is good, views are amazing, breakfast is free, parking is mostly convenient, and if you join the Hilton club you can cancel your reservation pretty close to the date without penalty.
Sadly, we probably won't return again. I'll list a few issues below:
There was a horrible long line through the lobby of frustrated guests trying to check in or out. We did digital, so this wasn't an issue-unless we needed something or wanted to walk through the lobby. I stood in line for almost an hour just trying to get quarters to wash laundry. There were only two people in front of me. We met one couple, coming back down the elevator, they were pretty upset. They had waited in line for an hour, told the hotel was overbooked, given a key-only to get to the room-the key didn't work and there were people talking inside the room. I felt awful for them. They had to go around the 10-12 other guests still in line to get back to the employee at the desk.
The property is not being maintained very well. There is no ventilation in the toilet/shower room-so everything is kind of soggy and you can tell they struggle with mildew. There were a few minor damages to random fixtures & the lamps were super rusted. Our patio door would not latch, which was okay for us-on a high floor, with teenagers. But it would be a deal breaker if we still had littles.
It is pretty impossible to get extra towels, especially when the front desk is staying busy with whatever faulty system they are using to check guests in. We wound up having to use pool towels, most of the stay, when they were available.
The pool was not clean, despite being closed hours at a time for "cleaning." It's also not a great pool. Kind of shallow and boring.
Breakfast is free, but not great. The best things is the waffles and you make those yourself. But they only have three makers and lines form quickly. If you have multiple kids-just bring some pop tarts.
The outside showers to rinse the sand off were super broken. The buttons on both for the foot only sprayer was just gone. I think maybe one or two of the full shower worked somewhat okay.
All this to say, yeah it's okay. Nothing too bad. Decently clean. Friendly staff. Laundry facilities available. I just think we can find a better option for the money.
I hope this helps. I'm honestly not a Karen or expect extravagant things, lol. I just have higher expectations, especially for something owned by...
