Little Green Apple — Local services in Papillion

I will no longer shop at the Hallmark store at Shadow Lake. And as I look back to what happened, I should not have purchased anything, and demand that they apologize to my daughters. So incredibly disappointed!

My daughters (13 & 16 yo) asked if they could stop by Hallmark, because Mother's Day and their father's birthday was coming up. I thought that was incredibly sweet of them. They wanted to complete their purchase before I went up to the register, so I wouldn't see what they were buying. Once they completed their transaction, they strolled around the store as they waited for me. When I got to the front of the line at one of the open registers, the employee walked away to tell one of the other employees something apparently very important. I overheard her telling the other employee to keep an eye on the two young girls because they were suspicious. At that point, both of those employees got the stink eye from me, "They are MY DAUGHTERS and they JUST PURCHASED something from YOU. " The two older women were surprised by my tone...but did not apologize. I was (still am) livid and my heart hurt for my girls who did NOTHING wrong. As I mentioned above, I should have had the girls return their merchandise, should have left my purchase on the counter and not paid for it, and should have demanded an apology.

So...as I sit here and ponder the shoulda, woulda, couldas... the one thing I WON'T be doing is going back to the Hallmark shop at...

It’s so sad that most of the Hallmarks have closed in the Omaha area. Only three remain. Amy’s. I looked it up as I didn’t think hallmarks were still open. I went there today and it brought so many memories of the past when I was collecting the Christmas ornaments. I think that as the greeting cards and prices to buy and mail increased most people quit buying cards and went to electronic cards which now I also think it’s a thing of the past. Went in to buy a Christmas gift, the lady tried to set up a reward program, twice. After taking all my information, she was unable to do it. I had waited an additional 20 minutes for that program, wasted my time. A little on the pricey side. Out of many ornaments. Would not return to that location. Their hours are also not convenient.
