A good friend recommend Lush Nails, specifically with nail technician Layla. I’m peculiar with my nails: from the cuticles to the shape, to the layers the polish is spread, and of course the design. I usually do my own nails at home because spending so much money getting them done only to be disappointed isn’t worth it. I do my best to be kind when asking Layla to reshape or straight specific nails as she is working her craft. She is patient, kind, and attentive. I’m sure I drive her nuts with my OCD, yet she always seems understanding and caring. She wants me to leave happy and wow! This is my third nail appointment with her and I am exuding happiness. She took my inspo pic and my vision and created the most gorgeous set. I usually give up after my first appointment, so I’m glad I gave her another chance because I’m very happy with her artistry.
Overall, some things I learned in my prior appointments is to avoid using larger gems for the nail designs because they fall off. They do guarantee their work for free if gems fall off, but after 3 times I gave up and the drive wasn’t worth it. The small stones lasted more than a month.
I wish I could get them done more frequently, but being specific with my nails, I think I get charged more than the average person because I ask for a lot (perfectionism). I do tip 15-18% on average, yet their prices are a bit high. I still give them a 5 star rating for service. I prefer to get my pedicures elsewhere because of price and also the first pedicure I received was mediocre.
For this lovely set, I paid more than ever before. I was disappointed that a gel-x fill is $60 without any cuticle care. I was charged $10 extra for the cuticles (I wouldn’t say it’s an actual manicure like I’m used to). I was charged $15 for the design to make the lavender colored French tip, and charged $25 for the gold leaf. Over all I was about $130 with tip which was financially painful, but the heart wants what the heart wants and even though it was a lot on my wallet, the price of happiness has no value.
Thank you, Layla for your beautiful work! I hope my honest feedback provides you and your nail salon more high value clients! I appreciate your patience, kindness, and attention to detail and instructions....
Read moreI used to have decent luck here. However, my last experience of treating myself to Gel X nails after going months without, was beyond disappointing. The very next day my nails were chipped and by looking on the underside of the nails, you could easily see they were almost all cracking down the middle. I went back in for repair, not once, but twice. First time the lady just painted over the cracks and called them fixed. They immediately chipped and continued splitting down the middle. The second time, the gentleman (rather than removing the cracked nails) just “reinforced” them with glue and assured me that would make them “super strong” and they would hold up. This time after not even two full days, my middle nails were chipped and both thumb nails had split completely in half (vertically down the middle). This all was so obviously what would happen when they couldn’t be bothered to put a new nail on. Really sad and disappointed that what was a splurge and gift to myself turned out to be a huge waste of both money and my time. I have been getting Gel X for many years and have never had such a terrible experience as far as quality and expertise. I will say, the people who work there are nice (thus the extra star) and am sure they would have “fixed them” for a third time. Needless to say, they had lost my trust at that point so I have just had to cut the nails all short until i can afford to go elsewhere for a good set. Maybe they have new owners or something. It was never this bad in...
Read moreI called ahead to come in for a gel pedicure at their earliest convenience. They asked me to arrive in 20min, which was doable. Right when I walked in Min greeted me at the front door and from that point it was an exceptional, relaxing, attentive experience.
It’s clean, smells wonderful and beautifully decorated. Bathrooms are very clean as well.
I sat down and decided to treat myself and do the Volcano pedicure, at 7.5 months pregnant my legs and feet appreciated the extra attention. I also asked if he could add on shaping and clear coating my nails. Let me just say that Min is the best - he was delicate in touch when needed which overall added to my ability to relax and just enjoy the experience. He checked in often but not too often on pressure, nail cut/style, temperature and my overall comfortability. What I appreciated most was that despite them getting increasingly busier as I was there and he had to attend to other people a few times - I never once sensed anxiety or felt like he rushed. I also spent a little extra on my own because I was so comfortable and relaxed. Many other salons will constantly push and try to upsell you - biggest pet peeve - so I really appreciated that didn’t happen here not once.
I will definitely return next time I’m in the area and...
