My parents went in to get three family heirlooms appraised for me at JewelryMD. Once Sally appraised the heirlooms, my parents told me how Sally had some unique ideas and designs on how to incorporate all the heirlooms together, creating an engagement ring using my great-great grandmother’s diamond. I do not live in Arizona, but my parents do, so one of the times I visited my parents they made an appointment for us at JewelryMD.

During my first encounter with Sally, she was so kind and thoughtful and walked me through her design and ideas. I was so green going into this appointment, I didn’t know anything about engagement rings, and she explained everything in approachable way and drew out the design so I could understand which heirloom was being used in her design. She was kind enough to let me take her sketches and drawings with me and she never once pressured me to use her design or to sell me something else in her store. Sally makes the appointment so personable and intimate by only having one customer and their family members in the store at a time. That way all her focus is on you and answering all your questions about the process.

The next time I was in Arizona with my partner, I made a second appointment ahead of time with Sally so my partner could see Sally’s designs for the engagement ring and two wedding bands using both my maternal and paternal grandmothers’ gems. Again, Sally explained the process in a way that we understood and was so patient with us in understanding the process. By talking with Sally, you can see that she and her husband have a passion for what they do and genuinely care about the designs and their customers. After the second appointment with Sally, my partner and I contacted Sally and told her we wanted to move forward with the process. Even though I don’t live in Arizona, Sally offered to send moldings of rings to where I was living at the time to size the ring and facetime with me. I didn’t take Sally up on that since I ended up coming to Arizona enough times when visiting my family. Any time I texted Sally with questions she would offer a phone call instead so she could properly answer my questions with clarity. I always enjoy speaking with Sally, and she has made this process easy, stress-free, and such an enjoyable experience. I feel the joy of this experience has been mutual, which has made the process so special. Sally first made a computer rendering of the rings, and then once my partner and I approved, she moved on to make the moldings. I tried on the molding of the rings to make sure the rings fit. My partner and I are so beyond happy and satisfied with the final product. The rings are absolutely stunning. Sally’s husband’s attention to detail is exquisite. I’ve had two different rings resized, cleaned and refurbished by the fine folks at JewlreyMD and they have done an excellent job. Sally is the customer connection person and her husband is the genius behind the curtain who does the work. Sally is organized and friendly and really knows her stuff. The second ring they worked on for me is a very old family heirloom made of white gold with a single diamond in it. The ring had been cut off due to a bug bite that made my finger swell up so the cut had to be repaired and the ring resized. The diamond was loose so the setting had to be retipped and it had to have new plating applied. The ring looks like it must have the day it was manufactured in the early 20th century.
