Long time Hallmark Platinum member with a history of shopping at the Scottsdale Fashion Square store which has unfortunately closed. Always treated with courtesy and respect until my encounter with the two ladies in this Hallmark store during Holiday Open House. Sorry, I don't know the names of the two ladies I encountered in the store. One with an arm in a sling spent quite some time chatting with a friend while I shopped and the other did offer to help me after I tried finding someone to help. I purchased 21 ornaments totaling $297.72 which entitled me to two free Hallmark gifts. I received one of the two and when I asked about the free Comfort and Joy Blanket, the lady with the arm in the sling pounded her finger on my Hallmark brochure and loudly told me to read the fine print where it said quantities limited. I was embarrassed and speechless since I had never been so disrespected in any other Hallmark Store and left without so much as a thank you for my purchase. This store is hardly representative of most Hallmark Stores, small and crowded with clothing rather than Hallmark products. Needless to say, I will be finding a different Hallmark Store to spend my next $300 and hopefully will receive at least a thank you. Whatever happened to...
Read moreHad a similar experience as others with rude staff and felt the need to share. I come in every month or so for greeting cards and other knickknacks and usually don’t have any issues. Today, I experienced a lot of push-back and attitude for using my monthly free card reward I get from hallmark. I purchased other items in addition to this. The person at the front asked for a barcode, but my email never comes with a barcode and I usually provide the coupon code emailed to me. Okay sure, they need a barcode, so I tried logging into my account in store, but couldn’t do so immediately. I was eventually accommodated, but it was made into a big deal and was a waste of time over nothing really. Every other person has not questioned my purchases and coupons in the past, so I was taken aback this time around and I’m not sure I’d want to return if I had to go through that every time I visited. It’s otherwise a nice place to stop by and grab a greeting card, especially if you’re a...
Read moreI just have to share my horrible experience I had today at Karen's Hallmark on Via Linda in Scottsdale. My mom has worked for Hallmark on Higley and brown for almost 5 years now and what a difference in stores. The Store manager Dianna was horrible. In asking for my mom's discount which I am entitled to. The manager Dianna was rude , rolling her eyes huffing and puffing at the request. I told her this is nothing to be upset about, I'll gladly move off the line . She continued to be rude condescending and rolling her eyes. After about 20 minutes she confirmed what I told her was correct. She didn't apologize for her behavior. I love Karen's store and want to support. Especially since I moved up here a year ago and was so happy that she took over this store. Karen these are not the people you want representing you, and after this experience with Dianna. I will no longer support this establishment or recommend it to anyone. ...
