The Palazzo Pool Deck — Local services in Paradise

This review is mostly about the Palazzo pool cabana service. There was rotting food/vomit in the built-in cooler section of our cabana's table when we arrived, which filled the cabana with a very noxious odor when we inadvertently opened it. The staff did not appear concerned regarding the vomit and said that it would be cleaned, which took over 30 minutes. We requested to be either moved to a different cabana or have the cooler replaced, however we were told that this would not be possible due to all of the cabanas being filled that day. We then were served drinks while the vomit was still in the cabana with us. The cleaners ultimately came, removed the table, emptied a bottle of bleach, and then returned the table. Although I have never done this before, I ultimately decided not tip the servers as a result of this experience (along with mediocre service, missing food items, etc.), which resulted in the servers calling the our suite twice while my fiance was sleeping and saying that I took the check with me when I left the pool. My fiance told them to call back when I returned to the room. When they called a third time, they said that the check blew away in the wind, so they would need to go through the bill line by line with me. The only question they asked was if I wanted to leave a tip for the server and I said no. They then hung up. Considering I spent over $1600 at the cabana, I can not possibly recommend...

Cool water, great drinks and lovely cabana. If you get a cabana come prepared to rack up on drinks and snacks, as there is a minimum spend commitment (minimum spends appeared commonly throughout certain activities throughout the hotel). Not a bad deal when you have multiple people splitting the bill. Also not much different if you were paying for each round without a min spend factored in. Drink prices are comparable across all the strip hotels, especially in the busy summer season.

Service was exemplary; Chase and Selena took excellent care of our bachelorette group, especially the bride. I would definitely come back for a chair and an early morning swim, breakfast and book...
