Over hyped and over-priced. We booked this place for my sister as a last minute holiday engagement party. I emailed ahead of time to enquire about their room decorations and booking enquiry and didn't hear back for 2 days. So I turned up at the venue to ask if I could reserve a room. They said they couldn't do it in person, and I could only email, which is crazy and1 a wasted journey. They did write my details down and got back to me two days later. Ubfortunately, they said it was now too short notice to pay for the decorations or anything. Which is fine, they wanted $100 for a 6inch cake! And $150 for some balloons. The sad thing is I would have probably parted with the cash for my sister if they had replied to my email within 3 days. So they lost that upsell. Anyway, we booked a large room (16+) at $185 non refundable deposit for a few hours. Which was fine. When we got there, we were escorted to our room. The venue is very glitz and glamour, very impressive. However, when the gentleman who escorted us started to explain the room it dawned on us a mistake we'd made. He first showed us the "Karaoke" . I say that loosely as it was YouTube. We had paid to go watch YouTube. They do have a karaoke system but it's all in Korean. Huge disappointment. He then was explaining the drinks ordering system. However his pitch was bad as he said we had to order a minimum of $500 in drinks, but there were offers that made it more worth the money. As soon as he left, everyone was in shock. To turn up to a place and be told that you have to spend a minimum amount of money is shocking. We all looked at each other and everyone agreed it wasn't worth it, we simply couldn't afford to spend the night there and we all chose to leave. We spoke to the manager on the way out, to explain we were cancelling. He shook his head and said that the guy was misinformed and we didn't have to spend a minimum, and we could stay and use the room we oaid for. We apologised and said that it had really put us all off m, so we left. He said he couldn't return my deposit, which is a shame as we were there 5 mins, but we accepted our defeat and left. Fortunately, the night was saved as Flight Plan was right across the street and we paid half the price to drink cocktails and play fun dart games all night. So overall, not great customer service. Overpriced. No actual karaoke system, just YouTube. Dodgy peer pressure sales. Friendly...
Read moreWent to Vegas for a bachelorette party, with COVID there’s not too much to do. Found this place and what was supposed to be a night of fun turned into a night of bickering with about 4 different people regarding pricing. 4 different people because no one really speaks great English. Which we don’t mind at all, but with all do respect they should have someone that could at least communicate a little better because a lot could have been avoided with just better communication. We were told that before 10pm, it was 100 dollars per hour. We arrived at 9 only expecting to do an hour. This man came in and told us to pick a package. Mind you, the bottle packages are about 500 dollars. We had said no thank you he then went and got someone else to tell us that we had to do that because it was a Friday night however when making the reservation we were never told that it was required since it was a certain day. The whole karaoke process was in Chinese and we weren’t able to work the machine. The guy didn’t explain anything and was extremely rude. When we asked him if we could get it in English he stated “it is in English,” but still clearly in Chinese. We then decided to leave after just a few minutes because we couldn’t figure out the machine and the whole experience just felt weird. Before we could get up another guy came in telling us we had to purchase the bottle package or leave (basically) however said if we left we would still have to pay for just sitting there for a few minutes and it would be $100. We paid and left. Then it didn’t seem right or fair so a couple gals from our group went to speak to the manager and explain what happened. The other 2 men that were “helping” us were smirking and snarling when the manager explained that they were still new so everyone is still trying to figure out the process. However they should’ve had all of that staff fully trained prior to opening because not knowing how to use the machine will sure take a whole lot of your time if you don’t read Chinese. The food and drinks are very expensive! 25 bucks for a mixed drink and 8-10 dollars for beer. Needless to say, save your money! It’s not worth it. Which sucks because with the correct explanation and communication it could’ve been a...
Read moreCame here with a group of friends where the primary purpose of our trips together is to do karaoke. Decided to book this place since we were all staying at the venetian and this is the only private karaoke room place I saw on the strip.
Booking process Generally found it easy to at least book the room, and took advantage of the promo of a free bottle of champagne for first time booking. We knew ahead of time we wanted to do 3 hours, but it wasn't possible to indicate that on the reservation so I messaged the team about it. Jin was very accommodating and offered us the 3rd hour free.
Rooms Thought the room we were staying in was nice looking and clean. Sound system in the room was pretty good. Getting in and out from the seating was a little bit of a squeeze even for me, and I'm pretty short. We tried turning on the disco lighting but one of the rotating lights had a really loud mechanical sound so we turned it off. Wished the rooms were more soundproof cause the group next to us decided to spend what seemed like the whole hour just screaming into the mics and it was very noticeable.
Karaoke There's two choices you can do - YouTube from a mounted tablet or karaoke system with remote and song book. We tried doing the YouTube setup at first but it was really annoying having to get up to queue a song (and generally end up blocking the TV screen in the process) and having to type into YouTube. Would have worked better if the tablet was connected to the table, or if we could connect from our phones. We switched to the built in system, which has a much more limited selection of songs but lets you adjust things like music volume, mic volume, key, etc.
Service Generally the staff were really nice. One person supporting us knew about our reservation (3 hours, comped 3 hour, free bottle) and the other didn't. The one who didn't ended up confusing us when she popped in after 1 hour saying that our hour was up and asking if we wanted to extend.
Overall We had fun singing, and the price ended up being okay with the promos we got, but I probably...
