I have been a customer the majority of my adult life. When it was time to buy furniture for my new home i decided to go to Macy's. The sales associate was very nice. The selection was ok. Eventhough the prices were the same or even higher than online options i decided to give them my business. Right after the orders were placed and payed for the headaches began. The color of the patio set did not match the umbrella. That issue took over 5 calls to only find out that the two different item numbers were for the same color. Then the pieces were on back order until August..(when summer would be ending). Then it was delayed again. My mattress delivery date also was extended. We bought an air mattress and patiently waited. Upon delivery of the mattress there was no box spring. We called over 3 weeks ago to specify for a split box spring. That took three calls and we were told everything was confirmed but nothing was delivered on delivery day. I've been on hold for over an hour. I was transferred to two different departments only to be transferred back to the store to talk to a manager to cancel my order. It saddens me that Macy's....an American icon...the one who does the Thanksgiving parade and Forth of July fireworks is so incompetent. I avoided Amazon and other online companies to buy and support the local workforce to keep my money closer to my community. Read moreBy far the worst customer service. I ordered a table in august of 2020, no one reached out to me notifying me about my table. As the customer, I should be notified when and where my table is. If there is a problem, I should be notified that it’s delayed. The best part was that my table was in the warehouse, but when they looked for it, it wasn’t there?! So where did it go?! Did it just walk away? They said it was on a trailer, on the way to the warehouse, not just once but 3 times and in the end it just disappeared.
I was the one to make the phone calls to make the effort to make sure Macy’s contacted me, that is horrible service. Not only did I order my table in august of 2020, it is now February of 2021 and now my table is delayed until April. No one knows what to tell me as to where my order is. Read moreMy husband and I visited this store twice (among many other furniture stores) before finally settling on the couch we wanted to buy for our new home. We worked with Zorana in the store and she was wonderful. We bought a custom color & fabric couch back December that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks and it arrived before the expected date. Zorana also got us a great price on the couch as the production period crossed over the time that Macy's was having a sale. The delivery team was very professional, arrived during the expected window, were very careful bringing the pieces inside, and inspected the couch with us before leaving to make sure there were no defects. The couch is beautiful and a perfect fit in our living room! We had a great experience with Macy's team and we're already eyeing up some patio furniture there for the summertime! ...
