1.0 star rating 8/14/2017 First to Review I had to get a bridesmaid dress here and the entire experience was awful. When I went to order the dress, I was 6 months pregnant. For some reason, even though the group of us was constantly discussing it, the sales woman did not understand and went to take my waist measurement. Finally, another sales girl came by and loudly asked "So when are you due?" in hopes that our sales woman would finally figure it out. She then disregarded the waist measurement and picked out a much smaller size (with full knowledge that I'd be having a baby between then and the wedding).
Well, the smaller size that the sales woman ordered was a size that I would not have fit into in the last decade, nevermind a few months after giving birth. So we went and met with the seamstress and the manager. The manager tried to imply that I should have known my dress size and corrected them back when it was ordered. If that were so, there'd be no reason for them to measure me! They finally said I would not pay for the alteration and picked out another dress in the same color that they could take the fabric from to alter the dress. They told me to come back for a fitting in August.
Fast forward to August. I showed up for my first fitting and the dress they were going to take the fabric from was nowhere to be found. The manager was not in, so the girl working had to call her a few times. They happened to "forget" that they weren't charging me to let out the dress and I had to remind them. They tried to charge me for both the alteration and the fabric. After a few phone calls between the salesgirl and the manager, it was figured out.
On my way home, I got a phone call from the manager, Rita, screaming at me saying she never agreed to alter the dress for free. I calmly told her that she said she'd let out the dress without charge. She snapped that they weren't doing the hem or altering the bust of the dress for free and I replied with "I know." She proceeded to apologize for screaming at me (yes, customer service at it's finest).
Today, I picked up my dress and I will pay someone else to do the rest of the alterations. The dress now fits, and zips, although it is much tighter than I'd have liked, I'm done dealing with this bridal shop.
Both times I went for fittings, I stood at the front desk for 20 minutes before someone came out to help me. I stood there for 20 minutes this morning and no one noticed me until 10 min. after my appointment time.
The only reason to do business with this shop is if you have a bridal party you really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start off by saying I love Macy's and this location. Today I had a horrible experience in the Jewelry department, with an employee named Marianne. I will be reaching out the the supervisor once they are back. This all happened around 8:00pm on 12/04/24. Please check the cameras to see how disrespectful she was.
I walk in, and there are two guests being helped together, picking up an order. They were clearly together as friends. There were two women workers standing aroundāone helping them and the other just watching. I try to ask to look at one of the lab-grown diamond rings, but I am ignored three times. I ask for the third time, "Excuse me, can I try one on?"
The lady finally walks up to me. Her name is Marianne, which I later asked for because she was extremely rude to me. She says to me, "What?" and then "Which one?" I was a bit taken aback by her attitude, but I stayed calm and respectful. I said, "Let me check for a second," and pointed to the ring I wanted to try on. She was about to unlock the display but then says with an attitude, "Are you 18?"
I was extremely confused and taken aback again. I replied, "Yes, I am 20." She then says she needs to ask a manager since these are thousand-dollar rings. She was extremely rude when she said this and left her area behind the gate to do so. At that point, I said, "Never mind," and walked away because of her rudeness.
I really wanted to try the ring on, so I went back and said, "I would like to try it on, and you were extremely rude to me." I was being nice but wanted to let her know I didnāt appreciate how she treated me. I asked for her name, and then I asked for her last name. She said, "You donāt need to know."
I then politely asked to speak to a supervisor, and she said, "The manager is not here," even though five minutes earlier she had claimed she needed to ask a manager to unlock the display. She then walks away from me as Iām still talking to her.
I walked over to the other worker I saw, who was extremely friendly and nice to me. I asked this other worker for the manager, and she explained the manager had left for the day. I then asked for the managerās contact information.
Marianne walks over and interrupts our conversation as Iām explaining how rude she had been. She then puts her hand in my face and says, "No, youāre being rude." She continued to cut me off multiple times.
Thank you to whoever takes the time to read this. Do not purchase anything...
