Eiffel Tower Pool — Local services in Paris

Usually I would rate this a solid 5 stars. I've had a few parties there, 3 hours with slides, and have 4 lifeguards there. The lifeguards have always been cool with us, letting us borrow goggles or lifejackets. My parties are small, usually around 15 to 20 people. I've had no complaints, until tonight. There was a woman lifeguard there tonight that when asked if my daughter could borrow a pair of goggles , she says no, she'd rather she didn't because she didn't want anyone else asking. I was taken aback. I never had an issue with it before, and like I said, I have small parties. So, I had to send my husband to the store to buy goggles for all the kids there. I had a couple people come and tell me a few things that were said, but I won't put these things since I wasn't there to hear them myself. I paid over 200 hundred dollars for 3 hours, each lifeguard being paid 45 dollars for supervising. So they're making 15 dollars an hour to be there. I feel like for 15 dollars an hour, small children asking to borrow something to feel safe in the water shouldn't be an issue. I'm very disappointed. My previous parties had very friendly lifeguards that laughed with us at times, and everyone had a great time. The 4 stars reflect my previous experiences, with tonight being the reason its not a solid 5 stars. I hope I never host another party with that lifeguard in attendance. We came from Clarksville, Tennessee on a sunny Saturday, and the staff from the pool apparently were planning to close the facilities early. They told us a very unconvincing story about a gadget they had that was alerting them of some lightning detected at about 12 miles of distance( I checked the forecast and there was nothing similar announced).For that reason they had to have the pool closed, totally unbelievable. We went to eat and after an hour and a half we decided to go back and the gate of the pool was completely shut with nobody on the premises. Maybe the staff had other plans on their minds, and used the "never show up thunderstorm " as an excuse...ON A VERY WARM AND SUNNY SATURDAY IN JULY😡. It's okay. Nothing special. There is not alot of shade at the pool and I thought the main pool was kind of small. Smaller than the one at Paris Landing. So it was more crowded. The kiddie pool was nice. It would have been better if it was cleaned more. It is also confusing how to get in and out of the pool facility because there are mens locker rooms on one side and the other side is womens. You have to go through the locker rooms to get to the pool area. It's just confusing if you've never been...
