This place gets BUSY. I've had kids at school who have met famous YouTubers at the downtown Parker Location during the festival. Ive lived here for 9 years and last year was my first time going. (crazy I know.) I had a great time, however it was very anxiety inducing for me, being around so many people. I definitely was excited to try and go again this year, however I truly understand the circumstance of why they are shutting it down for the summer.
On the other hand, I found the rides to be slightly unsafe, but that is the quality you are going to get at any carnival event.
Two things I would change are the quality and safety endurance on all the rides, and number of days it's open. The carnival lasts for 3 days, which is the main reason it's so packed. It would be much more convenient to have a place to park and have people visit more than once or twice.
Overall, I would recommend- It's convenient for the Parker and Denver location and is a great way to get together...
Read moreThey scaled it back this year after 2 years of calling it off due to the pandemic. They put the thrill rides and kiddie rides in the same location. Good job by Wrights Amusements in how they separated the rides. Would be better if the path to the kiddie rides could bypass more of the thrill rides. The booth setup in town is more spread out and appears more disorganized than years past. An improvement to consider would be to provide more shaded areas.
The idea of scaling it back is not going to work and it isn't fair to the Parker businesses that see a huge uptick in sales on Parker Days weekend. The event planners need to simply do a better layout and to be prepared for large crowds at this yearly event. We have many other events that only appeal to the...
Read moreThis was my first time coming to the festival. We went on Friday evening. I brought kids ranging in age from 10-14. They just wanted to ride the rides. Unfortunately they were only able to ride 3 in the 4.5 hours that we were there.
The lines were so poorly planned and managed, that it allowed for rampant cutting. The carnies (grown ass men), working the rides, were too busy flirting with young girls in line to do anything about it. My kids waited in line for at least an hour to ride Kamikaze, and kept getting cut in front of, only to then have it shut down cause it was the end of the night. It was alarming how poorly the event seemed to be managed, in dealing with the crowds. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. Take note Parker Chamber...
