Honest Opinion from a real customer!

Well....I started this endeavor by first trying out Sleep Number's i8 and iLE beds. Not bad, however before making any final decision, as this being my first "air-assisted" mattress, I decided to check out the SAATVA brand which also had numerous positive reviews.

While driving from the West San Fernando Valley to SAATVA'S Pasadena store, I decided to call the store during my 30 minute commute.

I had the extreme pleasure in speaking with Tyler; a product specialist & technical advisor who took the time during my drive theee to answer all my questions about construction, features, pricing, delivery, and warranty.

So, even before my arrival to the store and meeting with Tyler, I already had a fair amount of product knowledge as well as a great feeling that SAATVA was running a "class act in the air assisted mattress" arena.

Upon walking into the Pasadena store, it reminded me of an Apple Store in a mall ...but only selling mattresses; clean, well organized, an ample staff, and plenty of customers!

With bedding and comfort being 100% subjective and specific to one's personal needs, I found the firmness of the SOLAIRE MODEL to be very selective in firmness and comfort when compared to Sleep Number models i8 and iLE that I tested less than an hour ago.

The construction of SOLAIRE'S internal air chambers (bladders) located deep within the mattress and located under several layers of user selectable comfort pads, incorporates the use of long lasting latex type material as opposed to Sleep Number's choice of material being plastic based.

Additionally, SAATVA uses ONE chamber per side where as Sleep Number uses TWO chambers per side. More is NOT always better because it's worth mentioning that while doing my initial research of customer reviews (and non-sponsored testing labs), I noted this two-chamber design has a potential issue of creating a "valley effect" between the two chambers per side over an extended period of time.

With respect to the SAATVA'S delivery, return and warranty policies, Tyler reminded me again of no delivery charge, a generous ONE YEAR trial period with a money back guarantee ($99 fee to return), and the best of all ...a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

Yes, LIFETIME! (Only AFTER TEN YEARS does a pro-rated program begin.)

So....once sales promos and discounts were applied by Tyler, the final choice being SAATVA'S SOLAIRE model was a "no-brainer".

Note: As for delivery of any SAATVA mattress, "good things are worth waiting for...", as they say.

Because, unlike most other popular mattress retailers that are well stocked in a local warehouse, thereby offering same or next day delivery; be prepared to wait up to 2-3 weeks for a SAATVA because each mattress is MANUFACTURED IN THE USA and MADE TO ORDER.

Once again, thanks to Tyler, Amanda and all the good folks at SAATVA PASADENA in making this important purchase most pleasant.

I went to the Saatva Pasadena store after doing a bunch of online research on Saatva mattresses. When I got there, I met with Lysa Hollingsworth, who is one of the "Sleep Guides" in the Pasadena store. Lysa was VERY knowledgeable about Saatva's products, including the Classic mattress (the one in which I was interested), and she patiently answered all of my questions thoroughly. She handled my sale skillfully, patiently, and with good cheer. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't comment on the Saatva store itself. It's in Old Town Pasadena, and was very clean and well-appointed.

I've been to several different mattress stores, including Ortho, Sit 'n Sleep, and Mattress Firm. My experience with Lysa at the Pasadena Saatva store was head-and-shoulders above the others. Highly...

We first purchased a Saavta split King Mattress (two twin side-by-side) and adjustable bed-frames a few years ago absolutely love the product! We lost our lovely bed in the Eaton Fire. The frame survived, but nothing else . I discovered, if I had the damage coverage, Saartva would have covered the replacement cost.

We just purchased a new Saarva bed! Looking forward to receiving it shortly. The quality of the product has made us loyal customers. The service at the Pasadena store was better than the West Hollywood store. Everybody was friendly and helpful at the Pasadena store. Happy to see them open a branch in Pasadena!
