We are only reviewing our breakfast experience. We ordered 2 coffees, one Cinnamon French Toast plate, an order of "crispy bacon" (specificallyasked for crispy as it is the only way my son likes it), order of sausage, a kids waffle with fruit, and a kids milk.
Coffee: They give 3 options for self serve coffee. One pot was lukewarm (which my husband got then had to pour out and switch to the other). Thankfully the other was good and hot. It took about 15-20 minutes for our order to come out (we were 1 of only 2 tables in the restaurant at this time). Both orders came out cool/cold to the touch including the very fatty (undercooked) cold bacon & sausage. Nothing was even remotely warm about the waffle or French toast or syrup. We didn't want to complain so I just began to cut up my son's waffle for him only to find that it was still a gooey cool paste in the middle which my son wouldn't eat (I don't blame him). Since we didn't have time to allow them to fix these issues (because of a 15-20 minute wait on the order) we just asked for a refund on everything but the coffee which was ok. We don't consider ourselves very picky but cool waffles, bacon, and sausage were not what we prefer for breakfast. Read moreI don’t normally ever write bad reviews because restaurants usually fix issues that come up! I’m not sure what’s going on with this La Madeline, maybe new management is what’s needed. It seems like service gets worse and worse. I’ve lived in the area for a few years and the people I’ve had servicing me at the front never know what to do when an order goes wrong or when a customer is dissatisfied with their order. Sure, the food tastes great but staring at me when I have a concern about the wrong order helps no one and makes me feel incompetent as a customer when really, I just want what I ordered! My to-go orders are almost never correct. Today, I only bought a lemon tart and came home super sick and regurgitated as soon as I got home. I called someone to have them double check their tarts and instead of apologizing, the person on the phone asked “well, did it taste weird?” and just said “ok, well, I guess I can take a look” and hung up. Of course it tasted sort of different, that’s why I’m calling! I think after this third time, I should try out a different one because the food here is normally very good. But this location? Read moreCalled in an order for me to pickup for my wife. The staff member who took the order was so very pleasant. It was a pleasure to speak with her. She entered my order and I headed to the restaurant. I arrived and there was only one person ahead of me. I gave the young lady at the register my name and my order was ready and waiting for me. I headed back home to take my wife her food. She ordered a Quiche Florentine and a side of bacon. She couldn't finish the quiche, so she shared it with me. I must say that it was well prepared and tasted great. The crust had a nice flakiness and the consistency of the filling was right on point. My wife said the bacon was very good. She was very pleased with it and the quiche. I also want to mention that while I was at the restaurant, I enjoyed looking at the different pastries and desserts until the person in front of me was finished....
