Super solid spot, my bartender the first time (girl had short hair but I didn't catch her name) and my server the second time (Jose S) were solid and quick with service. The parking lot is nice and clean with plenty of parking even when totally packed. The layout of the restraunt itself is...interesting...but nice. Parts of it feel like im in an authentic Mexican restraunt while others feel like I'm in a Seabrook spot (Blue wavy signs and aged seabreeze looking wood alongside 90s pool tile arrangements in the bar).
As for the food and drinks the quality and flavor has been impeccable, the queso always comes out warm and flavorful, and the red sauce actually has a little spice to it unlike the La Porte location which is also appreciated. Im an enchilada lover myself so im set in my ways and get the fajita enchiladas with white wine sauce and queso which comes out with 1 enchilada having a creamy white sauce that melts in your mouth and hits wild a nice mild flavor. The Fajita thus far has always been cooked wonderfully and melts away before you even notice you're chewing, great job here guys.
For the drinks during happy hour the margaritas are a go to for me, sadly they melt way too quickly and turn into sop before you know it but the flavor is still solid and enjoyable, otherwise if you can accept on the rocks then you're probably better off. However the Michilada stands above the rest as the most solid option in my opinion, it's just got so many flavors going on and hops between sweet and spice so often and quickly that it keeps you on your toes.
All in all, although the floor plan/decor is highly varied between both halves of the restraunt the food, service, and quality are cream of the crop. I would recommend this restraunt to anyone especially with how I've seen the management and Service staff themselves handling issues and making the customer feel as "At home" and comfortable as possible. Big ups guys, I'll definitely be a loyal customer during my time...
Read moreLet me start off by saying, my husband and I have eaten here regularly during this pandemic. We always order door dash and every single time, something was amiss with our order. I don't mean minor things like extra chips or salsa. The main entree was always either something we did not order, or any modification made was not applied. When we would call to inquire on options for correcting our order we were always told "sorry about that we are really busy at the moment. Would you like to come get another entree ?" To which we always declined because that defeats the purpose of us ordering via doordash. Because we were being lazy and not wanting to get a corrected order, I never left negative reviews we just simply started ordering from Jimmy Changas and were NEVER disappointed. Food was always great tasting, looked amazing, and our order was on POINT! After 2 months now of ordering JC we decided to give Gringos another try today. We ordered our usual pollo marisco and a cobb salad but received a taco salad instead. I called up to let them know the order was incorrect and was surprised to be speaking to the new General Manager AJ about my concerns. He apologized and explained new management from Jimmy Changas was now trying to change things at Gringos and fix areas of the restaurant that haven't been up to par; to-go's being one of those. That alone made me satisfied. He also notified us that we do not have to rely on doordash since they have servers who will deliver the food for us at a small delivery charge. He went out of his way to send a driver with our correct order, added 2 desserts ( 12 sopapillas and tres leches), a large size queso dip, AND a gift card! That man is a man of his word. He is most DEFINITELY changing customer service and the way the business is run. I am beyond satisfied and will continue to leave positive reviews with his name attached because I am so impressed with the way things were handled today....
Read moreNo customer service from server Sarah. No smile seemed to hate job never checked on me but did bring one refill on tea....had to get Alyssa other Bartender to help me. I sat at bar thinking better quicker service.....SO WRONG. Pearland location awful service. Told manager called guest relations Lindy. Did not totally compensate meal. They are chintzy on queso for chimichanga meal put in tiniest plastic container doesn't cover food no service couldn't ask for more ..sad. I could have had Chuy's good food and service but I wanted Gringo's on my visit to Texas.... DON'T SIT AT BAR IN PEARLAND TEXAS EXPECTING GOOD SERVICE.. PEOPLE PERSON SERVER... LEAVING WITH BAD EXPERIENCE NEED TO FOLLOW TEXAS CITY'S SERVICE MODEL. Guest Relations needs help on compensation on what it means to get better experience...you didn't receive in Pearland Texas.... Slowest bad service ever leaving it to coworker Alyssa to do their job. Sarah needs coaching desperately! I emailed General Manager after receiving not total cost of meal gift card. No phone number Hugo Espinoza to contact you to leave message just email. They want writing here it is and it doesn't even begin to really explain all that went on....I did tell them to pull video feed to see how Sarah ignored me by watching TV and other stuff... Anyway don't sit at bar unless you don’t want service and are ignored and don't have to be anywhere and tons of time (I didn't want to be there as long as I was). Plus no Manger came around to check on business List could go on.... This experience didn't even deserve a 1 star. I didn't even take a...
