Title: A Mixed Experience with Room for Improvement
Rating: ā ā āāā
Review: My recent visit to this establishment left me with mixed feelings. While there were a few positive aspects, overall, I found several areas that need improvement.
Firstly, upon entering, I couldn't help but notice that the place was not as clean as I had expected. The table tops were dirty, menus had stains, the utensils were not properly cleaned, and even the French fries holder and salt shakers appeared grimy. However, to their credit, the floors seemed to be well-maintained and clean.
Moving on to the atmosphere, I found it lacking in character. The ambiance was very basic, lacking the charm or uniqueness that would have made the dining experience more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, my disappointment extended to the food as well. The dish I ordered turned out to be quite bland, lacking any distinctive flavors. It was surprising considering the description on the menu, and it reminded me of eating plain porridge. Seeking to enhance the taste, I politely asked the server if I could have some teriyaki sauce on top of the dish. To my surprise, she seemed taken aback and offered me hot sauce instead, completely missing my intention for a milder, flavorful addition. I pointed to my son's wings and requested that particular sauce, but she informed me that it was a concentrate. I reluctantly accepted her response, but still felt the need for something to make the food more palatable.
Despite these shortcomings, I must acknowledge that the establishment's cleanliness extended to the floors, and I appreciate their effort in maintaining a clean dining area. However, I hope they pay more attention to other aspects of cleanliness, such as table settings and utensils.
Moreover, the lack of atmosphere and the disappointing flavor of the food left me feeling unsatisfied with my overall experience. I believe there is room for improvement in terms of taste, presentation, and customer service.
In conclusion, while the establishment had some redeeming qualities in terms of cleanliness, I cannot overlook the underwhelming dining atmosphere, lack of flavor in the food, and the miscommunication with the staff regarding condiments. I hope the management takes these points into consideration and works towards providing a more enjoyable and memorable dining experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was hands down one of the worst dining experiences Iāve had, and I genuinely cannot recommend this place to anyone. Anyone with a bright soul stay far away from this resturant till they get their standards in check.
Bulgogi Bibimbap
Everything about this dish was off. First, the rice. Instead of using the expected sticky Korean rice that holds bibimbap together, they served a fluffy, low-quality variety that left the entire dish painfully dry. The bulgogi, which should be flavorful and tender, was dry and barely marinated, if at all. Instead of a proper sunny-side-up egg, they topped it with a scrambled eggāadding yet another layer of dryness. And the sauce? Completely underwhelming. It was a watered-down version of gochujang (Korean chili paste) that did nothing to help the dish. Iāve had better chili paste straight from a grocery store bottle.
Soy garlic Chicken
I donāt know what flavor they were aiming for, but it was definitely not soy or garlic. It honestly tasted like someone dumped candy onto chicken. It was just too sweet and nastyāthereās no other way to put it. I wouldnāt eat it again even if someone paid me.
Pickled Radish
How do you mess this up? Itās one of the simplest items on the menu, and itās supposed to be a clean, sweet-and-sour palate cleanser that pairs perfectly with fried chicken. Imagine eating overly sweet soy garlic chicken, and then trying to refresh your mouth with more sweetness. It's a flavor overload in the worst way.
Chicken Katsu
What exactly are they making back there? Chicken katsu is a crispy breaded cutlet served with a savory katsu sauce. But for some reason, they slathered it in a spicy sauce instead. Do they not know thereās a specific sauce for katsu? It felt like they were just tossing random flavors around without any respect for the actual dish.
Bonchon is supposed to represent Korean comfort food with bold flavors and proper techniqueābut what I got here felt like a bad imitation. It's a disgrace to Korean food and I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to eat here tonight 4 adults and 1 kid. We had Arielle as our server. Off the bat, she seemed like she did not want to deal with us. She took too long to get our order and skipped to take an order from one person too. We had to call her back so we could complete our order. We waited patiently for 45 mins to get our food and still missing one personās food (spicy chicken sliders). When we followed up on it, it turned out that she forgot to place the Spicy chicken slider along with the rest of our check. Now instead of telling us the mistake herself (have some courtesy to OWN UP to her mistake like a decent human being would), she sent another server to deal with HER mistake. It couldāve been fine if Arielle was just courteous enough to deal with us herself and not have someone else deal with it. And we wouldāve understood her honest mistake. On the contrary, Arielle was unapologetic about it and just dropped off our check like nothing happened. Will NEVER come back to this place! Too bad, food was good but that server suck. Arielle needs reassigning or re-training especially with conflict resolution if this business want to be successful.
Food is good
Service suck.
Ambiance- crowded place and disorganized.
P.S. Kudos to that other server that handled the situation professionally and offered us alternatives. Though the discount was nice for her to do but we did not need it. We wouldāve appreciated to be treated...
