We Love La Carreta, however last time we went the service was terrible. We know the waitresses name and we choose not to mention it here because everyone can have a bad night but if service like that is what we can expect we will no longer be REGULARS.
Our waitress did not come one time after our meals were served. We were served bread when our meals arrived, see below for appetizer problem... I asked for 4 creams I got 3 for my coffee which never got a refill during the whole meal.
My husband had a diet coke given to him prior to our meal and that was the last drink he was served. It was finished 1/2 way through his meal.
I had asked for extra lime with my meal (when I ordered) I got one dried out sliver of lime.
My daughter finally got me a refill on the coffee after my meal was done by calling out to the waitress to get her to come back to our table (since delivering our food).
I think our favorite disappointment for this visit was when we were handed the check without even being asked if we'd like anything else... which oddly enough we did.. (La Carreta desserts are awesome)
So picture this... Our plates are cleared from the table does the waitress say, "can I get you anything else??" Nope, just slid the check onto the table and walked away.
Now you may think maybe we are jerks or something like that which that behavior was warranted but I can assure you, we didn't even get enough interaction time with the waitress to be jerks.
It was truly hands down the worst service I have ever received in a sit down restaurant.
Note to the manager / chef : The last two times I've ordered papa reyena and had the centers cold and the products themselves taste slightly freezer burned. Please check the dates on your frozen papa reyenas.
The previous time I visited with my kids and was served incorrect to go desserts.
My husband said he's done but I'll give you one last chance and see if you can improve. I sure hope so because when you do your food and service...

Read moreWent her last night as a party of 11. The hostess had us seated very quick, like less than 10 minutes. Our server who never actually introduced herself came and took drink orders for everyone who was there. We were still waiting for 5 or 6 people. Their menu says fountain drinks but when we asked she said they didn't have fountain just cans and no refills. Finally the remainder of our party arrives and orders drinks. Once everyone has their drinks she comes a few minutes later to get food orders. My MIL wanted fish ceviche as an appetizer and asked if she could put it in now and come back for the rest of the order. The server said yes but never did it. She then proceeded to skip her and start going around the table. She then skipped two others and walked away ignoring us while we tried to redirect her to get the last 3 orders. Finally I stop her about 5 minutes later and she takes the orders. All is well at this point. 20 minutes or so later, food arrives. It was a very generous amount of food for the price. Looks delicious etc. I ordered chicken milanese. I start eating and it's definitely not chicken. It's beef. I stop her. I explain I have a beef steak instead of chicken. She proceeds to argue that our table had 2 chicken and 1 steak. I don't know that to be true but I know for sure that I ordered chicken because of the language barrier she made me point to it and even told me the pronunciation. Anyway she finally takes it and has it remade. Then we had them come out and sing happy birthday to my stepson & I also ordered guava cheesecake and a flan from the bakery. Those alone deserve 5 stars. The service was just ok and the food was good making the whole experience...
