This place is filled with absolute clowns! I CANNOT get a straight answer. I would like to make simple Black & White copies of standard letter sized documents, approximately 300 pages. I called the Petaluma store and the guy said it is $0.79 per copy. So 300 copies times $0.79 is $237.00 dollars! The guy also said it would be $0.79 per page to scan them to a USB thumb drive. So for 300 pages to do a simple Copy & Scan to a USB would be $474.00 and that is outrageous. So I thought I would call back and confirm the price. I spoke to a different person this time. According to his information the price went from 79 cents to 40 cents per copy, and 79 cents to 55 cents to scan to a USB thumb drive. Still unsatisfied with conflicting answers I called the Santa Rosa store. That guy said it is "about" $0.32 cents per page to copy and if I wanted to scan to a USB he said "I would just have to come in scan all the pages and then get a price quote, and if I didn't like it, just don't do it." He came up with that answer because he said he was not near the copy machines. What great Customer Service huh? Now I thought I would eradicate all human interaction from this conversation to a very simple question I would turn to Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Web for an answer, and here is the answer I received.... AI Overview In 2025, at Staples, black and white self-serve copying costs 7¢ per page for letter-size (8.5" x 11") paper and 11¢ per page for legal-size (8.5" x 14") and ledger-size (11" x 17") paper. Color self-serve copying costs 49¢ per page for letter and legal sizes, and 99¢ per page for ledger size. These prices are for 20-lb. 92 bright bond paper. It is such a shame I cannot be out on the road running around taking care of errands, call a Staples store and get an accurate answer to such a simple question. After all how many thousands of dollars worth of copy equipment is in each store? How many hundreds of thousands of dollars is tied up in copy equipment throughout the entire company? Who trains these people? Has any Manager in the entire Staples Company ever heard of a mystery shopper to phone shop the stores OR show up in person and make sure they are doing a proper job? Being knowledgeable about products and services should be an absolute must! They should be very grateful I am not a manager in charge there otherwise there would be many changes in employees, namely the "higher ups". Hey, does anyone have the phone number to Office Depot? I really just want to make some...
Read moreOne of the very best shopping experiences I’ve ever had especially in a big box store! On Saturday I needed something and I needed it in a hurry. I called the store to see if they had it and they did so I went there and I walked in the door. I wasn’t sure where to go to get it, so I was standing there trying to make up my mind and a woman at the cashiers counter called over to me and said, did you just call about the XYZ device and I said yes. She said hang on I’ll go get it for you and she went in the back and came right out with it and I walked over to the cashier counter and bought it. It took me all about three minutes from walking in the door to walking out the door. She...

I want to personally thank David in the technical support department for his patience, expertise and extremely helpful professional tech support. David has helped me on two occasions find solutions to a complex problem involving a J5 Create hub + two HP 27" monitors purchased at Staples. If not for his help, I would have been at a loss to figure things out on my own. This is an extremely positive experience , and it's nice to see when representatives like him go above-and-beyond with...
