Very unhappy with my most recent purchase and interactions at Levin furniture. We have been customers for the majority of the furniture (all rooms) in our home over the last 20 years. That ends today.
We recently bought a hybrid mattress highly recommended by one their sales associates When we received the mattress, it didn’t feel anything like the demo and was uncomfortable to sleep on. This was not the mattress specific for our needs. So, following the 30-days, we exchanged the bed. I was told the demo mattresses are softer because they are “worn in” and not brand new. That seems like a ridiculous response for a multitude of reasons.
At any rate, we paid the restock charge, we paid the delivery charge, and we paid the additional amount for the new mattress. This was on 6/21/23. I was told by the sales agent AND the customer service rep to call back over the July 4th holiday. They cannot apply the upcoming discounts on 6/21 but they will be able to apply and credit during the sale. She even highlighted the model number and other information to make it easy for me when I called. The original mattress was also on sale, so this credit would basically make it an even exchange less restock and delivery. However, I called today and Holly in the office told me the discount does not apply and she wouldn’t apply it. That’s weird since two other people told me otherwise. Had I come in during the sale, the price of the mattress would have been less the discount and would’ve been an even exchange?!?
I’ll also add that I am not happy with the new mattress. Again, it is so much harder than the demo. At my age, sleep and comfort are everything to me and now I am stuck with a mattress that I can’t sleep comfortably in.
I should have listened to my mom and bought a Saatva. Having a good mattress is so important so it makes sense to buy from a company that ONLY specializes in sleep and are also 100% focused on customer satisfaction. They provide exchange or full refund if you are not...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I bought over $20k of furniture from Levin across a few different orders since the end of February / beginning of March. Multiple items had their delivery dates pushed back more than once, as we were supposed to have everything by the end of August and we just got our last delivery today. They sold us a bed frame that didn’t fit with the adjustable base that they sold us for our Tempur-Pedic mattress we bought from them. Said adjustable base does not work. I have mentioned this concern to a manager and they have not offered to do anything to fix it. When they brought our bed frame out the first time, at 6:30 AM, the delivery guy informed me that the actual frame was broken and that he’d have to take it back. I called a few days later to schedule another delivery and they told me that the frame was ready and it was scheduled for delivery. They called back shortly and told me that wasn’t the case. I called back and asked what was going on and if there was anything they could do for my troubles (outlined above). The representative told me she was going to give me a gift card and that I wouldn’t “be disappointed” with the value. She then proceeded to offer me a $250 gift card. Yes, $250 on my ~ $20k order total. I told her that I was, in fact, disappointed and asked her what Levin even sold for less than $250. She said that I could use it for the delivery cost on my “next order.” I told her that there would not be a next order. When my bed frame was finally ready, they tried to charge me another delivery fee because it was a separate delivery, as if it was my fault that it came broken the first time! Lastly, the delivery crew scratched and scuffed our walls up on multiple occasions. To sum my 7 month experience with Levin up, I would not recommend...
Read moreMisleading Delivery Dates & Poor Communication
My wife and I were in the market for new outdoor furniture. After visiting the showing and browsing online we made our mind up.
We placed an order for a Naples Beach Outdoor Sectional because the website clearly stated "In-home delivery on or after May 6," which was just 4 days away. The product page gave the impression that the item was both in-stock, and also immediately available for delivery, so we moved forward with the purchase.
The next morning, we checked our order status and suddenly the delivery date had jumped to May 28, with no explanation. When I reached out to customer service, I was told that the item is not even in stock and that dates “fluctuate daily.” This was never made clear during checkout and clearly contradicts the website.
To make matters worse, the confirmation email I received moments after placing my order stated I would be getting a delivery scheduling link within 15 minutes—which never arrived. Customer service later clarified, "We will call you as soon as it comes in." Again, misleading communications and false promises.
Due to above confusion, I had to take time out of my day to figure out what was going on with my order, and why it suddenly had drastically changed, only to find out that nothing is scheduled and delivery could be nearly a month out; including customer service informing me that the new May 28th date is only an 'estimate.'
If I had known the item wasn’t actually available, I wouldn’t have placed the order. The site’s wording is misleading, Levin's email communications follow suit, and the customer service representative didn’t seem interested in helping beyond repeating vague estimates.
Not a great experience. Do not...
