Unfortunately I am struggling to get back $25 dollars that this store stole from me. I purchased a few items from the store totalling exactly $25. The cashier was having issues getting one of the items to ring up but eventually got it to scan. I paid and left.
The next day I looked at my receipt to see that she had scanned one item twice and changed the prices on both scans manually. I don't know if she did this on purpose or by accident so I went back to ask, bringing every item I purchased with me (I never even removed them from the bad I left the store with).
A different cashier was at the register. She said I cannot return items without a physical receipt despite me having a virtual receipt connected to my DGX account. I askedfor them to review policy because it said I could make a return (especially since I returned only a few days after the purchase with all items).
She then changed to say I cannot get a refund for the items and instead MUST have it put on a gift card. Confused and exhausted by her inability and refusal to help me, I agreed to accept the gift card... BUT then she claims she can only put $24, not $25 because the other cashier rang up the items wrong... how does that make sense that I am penalized for a mistake they made?
Now, weeks later... I go to try and use the gift card and a fourth cashier now tells me the lower-value card I was forced with IS INVALID!
So, corporate hasn't helped me and keeps promising the GM will call me. The poor staff don't know what to do because their register's system is antiquated and they can't override it. Some of the staff are just unwiling to correct this... All I want is my $25 back I don't care if I have to buy something...

While walking the neighborhood I met the Store Manager who invited me to take a tour.
It felt a little "Stepford Wives" neat and orderly. I actually thought I was lon candid camera. Every aisle was as neat and orderly as the next. Even the areas that are mess in every store. NOT HERE!
Upon leaving I told the Mgr. I would glady tell her leadership or the company about my experiences and that I think it should be a "model store"
Thus DGX is worth the visit and to then let other DGX's you visit about the...

Called dollar general and it is NOT policy to lock the bathrooms and prevent the public from using them. Itâs officially up and stuck with this employee as she harasses me everytime I come in to purchase something...
